Hey Monte guten Morgen, do you only use posh tools and consumables:)
yes ;) :D (i try to)
btw. nice PB punches :drool::pimpflash

I suppose it is, it does say Witte on the package. It had couple of tools i wanted, tx50 screwdriver for Volvo shocks and 6mm nut driver to adjust headlamps.
And the good thing is that we now know who is the OEM of various brands :)

Hey guys I need some opinions on hacksaws. I have the following Facom 601. Now my dad is asking for a hacksaw and I am thinking to buy either the 601 or the Facom 603F. What do you think? The 601 feels very good but I have not used it long enough. The 601 is made of steel and weights 200 gr less while the 603F is made of aluminium.

Nice spanner collection! Are the top ones open box 14's and the bottom 13's?

 Cool...Felo, Athlet and Wiha for me is the toughest german screwdrivers
I love my couple of Athlet's as well:thumbup:

Too bad Witte doesn't make their 'top 10' screwdrivers anymore, they're probably my favourite (they were my grandfather's)

(second one from the bottom)

Actually, is there something like a hot deals thread for europeans on this forum? It could 'save' us a lot of money:evil:

There's a U.K. Hot Deals thread, but you're probably right, we could do with a European wide hot deals, as shipping is seldom costly!

Thanks for the link Monte!

Those are nice, and that price is very good!

But there's no way I can possibly use any more drivers!

But then the price is very very good...!
...and they´re limited and fluorescent.....and for that price..... :p:D

The knipex cobra seems to have more hard metal at the jaws and larger opening but I like the mechanism of Gedore better.

The knipex plier on the other hand had quite soft jaws, maybe on purpose but I dent them while working on the bicycle!

I bought a set of Athlet drivers, not realizing that it only came with pozidriv and flat head drivers. Not much use for Pozi here in the US, unfortunately.

The Gedore ring slogging spanner last for 16 years. Gedore dealer said no warranty possible for this spanner... :dunno:
Now let's see how Unior can manage the same "violence". :pimpflash
I guess one day they all will crack because of the impacts...
ooh.. neon screwdrivers. luckily they cost too much to ship to europe. (25 or so) .
this offer ships from europe:

Does anybody know what the deal is with the New "Fein WSG 7-115 Compact Angle Grinder Ø 4-1/2".

http://www.feinus.com/en_us/grinding/compact-angle-grinders/wsg-7-115-0336081/

The design is a bit different from the current crop of newer Fein grinders. The gear housing is finished differently and the spindle lock is in a different location. The price also seems low.

http://feintools-online.com/72219760090-fein-wsg-7-115-4-compact-angle-grinder.html

I also don't see it listed on the Fein.de site.

went to local car parts and tool warehouse that has just moved to new location. i went there to idea-searching/windowshopping, basically just to spend half an hour browsing their aisles before going to work.

they clearly have changed alot of tool providers now. they never had anything made by gearwrench, nor hazet. (bonus: i know know not to want gearwrench locking flexable ratcheting wrenches anymore, dont like the lock switch)

as i was just carrying small amount of money in my wallet i couldnt buy anything fancy or expensive even though i wanted to. but i still felt the need to buy something.

and one of these cool tools followed me home. i think im gonna like it. ability to have it horizontally or on vertical surface. vey nice. never seen one like it before. (never searched one either.. have only used the "normal" dish style)

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004EXVI8C/?tag=atomicindus08-20

i think it was something like 15 dollars. i could of gotten it cheaper online maybe, but sometimes it makes sense to support local business a bit. (if for nothing else, to help keep them in business for those "i gotta have something rightawaynow" moments.)

I had ZERO use for pozi, until my wife discovered IKEA. Now I get to use them every weekend.....

Hmm, I do have some IKEA, maybe I'll keep them around, thanks for the tip. We do have Spax, but I mostly buy their torx stuff, not their Pozi.

Monte: do you know anything about SW-Stahl? Decent?

Been looking at these:

SW-Stahl is a typical rebranding company.

Waterpumpliers from NWS, some skrewdrivers from Athlet, ratchets and sockets typical Taiwan/China stuff, etc.

You can have good or bad luck.

The bizarre thing is IKEA (Canada) didn't even have a Pozidrive screwdriver in their DIY tool kits!

SW-Stahl... many Taiwanese items. Beta would be the originators for that style. Facom/USAG also offer it (some with free-spinning sleeves). More recently, PB Swiss started offering those too (with sleeves). ...just to name a few alternatives....although with a much higher price point, I'm sure.
