Gedore No. 8 open end wrenches.

I tried a thread in the Vintage Tools forum, but got no informed replies, so I'll ask here:

I have three Gedore DOE wrenches, 17, 14, and 12mm. They are the same opening on both ends. One end is a different angle from the other. They are quite thin. They are marked "Vanadium" on one side and "Gedore No. 8" on the other.

I cannot find any information on them on the internet. Does anyone here know anything about them?

Cheap unbranded locking keyless, probably Chinese, was put on a few years ago when the previous decent keyless chuck locked up, it had to much use drilling masonry on the impact function in the years before SDS. Its a decent 2 speed drill that still sees some use. I also hate the current look of Hitachi tools.
ahh ok i though it´s a old skool Metabo chuck or so...:p the recent Hitachi tools don´t look professional anymore.... More like tools you can find at Aldi or Lidl :)

btw. Lidl tools: http://www.lidl.nl/nl/Offerdate.htm?id=753 :)

Not a great one, unfortunately.

The Bosch is the shortest at 5.3 inches, my Metabo BS 18 LTX BL is in the middle at 6.2 inches, and the M12 is the longest on the bottom at 6.6.

That's 135mm, 158mm, and 168mm, respectively, for those metric folks. :)
12 volt tool longer than 18 volt... ??:eyecrazy::sad:
Wrong name for a nice tool. :D
I wonder what does "****" means in German... Monte?:lol_hitti
**** means "fat" in german :p ...In english "****" can mean something different i think :p

maybe they´re pedal wrenches ?

What would you like to know about them? They still sell them:

Thanks, posidriv! It seems that Gedore has "repurposed" the No. 8 line as an ignition-pattern wrench. My wrenches have one end at zero degrees to the handle and the other at twenty-five (25) degrees, instead of the 30 and 75 degrees of the new version.

They seem like a tappet wrench with offsets to compliment the standard 15 degree angle.

I got this Hazet trolley to hold all my Hazet tools I've bought through the years. I bought it from Jens and received it this summer, he ordered it for me with 8 drawers instead of the normal options of 6 or 7. Jens is the best person I have ever dealt with for buying tools anywhere... Note drawers 7 and 8 are not used yet, I have room to grow...

What German or other Euro (Swedish perhaps?) drill presses are still being made.
Made in Germany: Flott, Alzmetall, Maxion, Gillardon

I think Knuth and Optimum are asian.

I'm liking those Reich nail guns. Anyone have one in the USA? If so, standard nails? What kind of nails are you using.
