That's really cool! Thanks for the info! Didn't know there were any (hand)tools manufactured in Belgium, might have to hunt some down now!Dynasteel - and Dynacore - were made by the Usines Gilson in La Croyere - near the town of La Louviere - in Belgium. They made everything from nuts and bolts over horseshoes to steam engines, and tools for the coal mining and rail-road businesses.
Founded in 1883, the company folded in the mid-1960's.
Some google-fu was in order after I found these - en gelukkig praten we ook wat Frans![]()

Dynasteel is a dull name though, we've got three official languages, they could've given it some more 'cachet'...

YesIs that a Garryson burr?
And I was wondering about a couple of features on them. It's hard to see on the pictures, but the finish on the end of the ring is very smooth chrome. Here you can sort of see the transition from satin to chrome (the Gedore is underneath a Stahlwille, also notice the 1B in the background):
At first I thought it was some sort of manufacturing artifact (where the spanners where held when they went into a bath or something like that). But the box makes mention of "ringe poliert". So it seems they did it on purpose. Anyone knows why?
I haven't seen this on the other gedore 1B pictures in this thread?

lolWe should make this a game for boring Christmas holidays: Who can guess (or identify) all the tools (what is is) and brands in the picture. Good stuff in this one (Knipex, NWS, Wera, Hazet, PB Swiss....)
You also know the rules of this game: This is a simple game where you have to identify tools and brands, and Monte always wins.
Reminds me of the famous Gary Lineker quote: Football is a simple game. Twenty-two men chase a ball for 90 minutes and at the end, the Germans always win.
And yes, I did copy the picture again because Monte asked for it![]()
Difficult to identify the sockets....but there is Stabila, Thor, Weicon, Olfa, Fluke, Witte, VBW, rebranded Orbis obviously Metabo and Uvex and other stuff the 5/16" bits were (are ?) also from Germany. The voltage tester is from germany too i guess. The chisels also have Germany stamped on them. The hammers look the same as some of the cheaper ones in the very extensive Gedore line which are German made
