A friend of mine who live in Netherlands looking to purchase some Norbar torque wrenches from the net. Any suggestions?

Buy from germany...

Specialist tools and good brand are far more expensive here. Im usually better off buying through tbs or tool team than locally.

Shipping included 10 to 40 percent cheaper if the site ends in . De

I meant from the European net market, not necessary from Netherlands.

Tool team? What's that?

Things are usually cheapest when you buy them close to where they are made. German websites are certainly cheap, if you are buying German tools, but for this I'd look at a U.K. site.

There are close to 500 Norbar torque wrenches (new and used) on U.K. eBay at the mo!

Sounds like it wont get over here till 2017.
if...at all...maybe rebadged as Skil...i hope they will offer a blue version...
Guys, Monte , I have a dilema...

My Bosch GDR 18v is practically unusable for tightening screws, it just brakes the screw or kills the threads in mdf or aluminium ...

I need a gdr and gds like tools but with torque adjustment so I can use it tightening bolts on motorcycles . something like 10-35 nm for 10.8v and 70-150nm for 18v

I found AcDelco makes something like that but it's stupid expensive and only in 1/2 , it's still a china tool at a premium...
i would use a drill/driver...
...or maybe a Metabo SSW 18 LTX 400 BL.....it has a torque dial with 12 settings

Even the lowest setting is around 100lb-ft, blowing away any fastener on a motorcycle. Consider that motorcycle fasteners often have specs in the 2-4.5 Nm range, and they are often specific enough that you see specs like 3.2Nm and 3.6Nm on the same motorcycle. You could use the first 5 settings on the BS 18 LTX BL drill driver, but the consistency/predictability and resolution won't be there. Some may say "well, I never stripped anything out using mine," but overtightened can simply mean a hairline crack forms with temperature changes, or something breaks instead of shifting if the bike is dropped.

My friend disassembled the 80 teeth stahlwille 415QRN. The black lid that cover the gear is made of plastic. Don't know why they use a plastic on it. He broke the lid a little bit when he took it down:sad:.

Bosch 1617EVSPK router - motor assembled in Mexico, rest made in China. Is this the way it is in Europe too?

Were there ever European made 1617 routers? My first one was U.S. made and a few years later production was moved to China. I don't recall any german or swiss produced models in the U.S. market.

Do you mean the part around the green button? I think the best is to contact Stahlwille and question this.

I have broken one socket and I will send it back to see why it broke while the nut did not....

Marlin I do get your point.

I got this today....

I'm so so disappointing with the handles on the wiha microfinish, I have taiwan screwdrivers that look better.

NO MORE WIHA FOR ME !

I'll try pbswiss next ..

Use them a bit. There are plenty of handles that look better, but those Wiha Microfinish are extremely grippy even when covered in ATF.

Yesterday I received this big haul of Toptul. A crimping plier set, 3/8" socket set, extra long combo wrenches, stubby combo wrenches, deep sockets in 3/8" and 1/4", 1/4" torx sockets, some impact sockets and an oil filter gripping plier.
View media item 58672I have not used anything of it yet, but it looks all very nice and well made. Only the finish of the deep 3/8" sockets has some difference in color.
I got my order from Motointegrator in Germany. Paid just a bit over 150 euros excl shipping. :rocker:
Anyone here who has experience with the crimping pliers?
View media item 58675They are sold under many brand names, but Toptul was the cheapest I could find.

Which page? I can't find them for some reason.

Page 148/149 in my English printed catalogue. Note each case type can take various types of foam insets so they are sold separately.

The larger older metal cases are square edged. The smaller more recent ones rounded metal with plastic catches. The latest appear to be all plastic. Monte will know more.

They are not cheap though. Just the smaller 1/2 socket set case is 29 euro, without einlage (insert)

Here's one tool sleuth Monte missed. The Stahlwille 512 QR N ratchet has been updated to 80 teeth from 60 and made a FOD design. There are no screws to fall out. Having said that, the old version has single use stretch screws. It seems inconceivable they could ever of fallen out given the battle they put up when I took mine apart !

I'm wondering where can I buy this new Bosch 36V Rotary Hammer as shown in following video?

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/j03NREghdi0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Could anyone in Germany helps me to buy it? In addition, I will pay all the expenses to ship it and I will pay for your time.

It would be great if anyone could tell me where can I get a freight forwarder to ship item from Europe to rest of the world
