Great video. I watched the whole thing.

I would love to be able to find some Belzer stuff around here. Some of that era vintage stuff reminds me of vintage Snap On with the lines. You can just tell they are quality too, as most German hand tools seem to be.

I'm glad he flipped that gear around by the end, lol.

Hi guys,
I just received this little ratchet and socket set from förch in 1/4". It's a present for my brother.
Do you know who may be the producer of the ratchet? No coo sign anywhere.
Forch is a brand comparable to Hoffmann, Würth an Berner.
The ratchet is really small, I think almost an inch shorter than regular 1/4 ratchets. IMG_4017.jpg

And this is my favorite ratchet. Not made in Germany, but I think Eastern Europe. The sockets I am not sure about.
This set is perfect because it is very compact and doesn't rattle in my toolbox.
The ratchet is very thin but a little bit longer than standard 1/4", so you can apply more force.
I have used this set heavily for a year now, especially for working on vintage Vespas.
I can't imagine any other set that would fit my needs better.

F@cko@ sockets.
Not sure what is your experience but I got a 1/4 socket set and the only part that is OK is the ratchet.

The broaching of the sockets is rubbish with ridges on the edge. So if you think that tolerances are good think again when measuring with the caliper cause the ridges will add up another 0.3 mm.

I believe those "ridges" are part of the OGV design where it applies force on the flats rather than the corners. Every manufacturer has a slightly different design.

Here is a set that's not commonly seen.

I happen to come across it on Ebay and just had to have it.

It is known as a "Large Bore Valve Tool Kit" manufactured by a company called DILL. I'm definitely happy with them!

The kit's part number is #5260 but also each tool is sold independently in accordance to Dill Air Controls and is still manufactured to this very day (on a special order request only).

The pictures show an older version of the kit with it's acetate yellow handles but the newer version is now made with a different regular style type of handle which is more common in todays tools.

(pictures of the newer version can be seen here:http://www.dillaircontrols.com/files/Large_Bore_Tools_52-7B_-_Dill.pdf )Dill Tire Schrader Valve Core #5260 Large Bore Speciality Tool Kit 1.jpgDill Tire Schrader Valve Core #5260 Large Bore Speciality Tool Kit 2.jpgDill Tire Schrader Valve Core #5260 Large Bore Speciality Tool Kit 3.jpgDill Tire Schrader Valve Core #5260 Large Bore Speciality Tool Kit 4.jpgDill Tire Schrader Valve Core #5260 Large Bore Speciality Tool Kit 5.jpgDill Tire Schrader Valve Core #5260 Large Bore Speciality Tool Kit 6.jpgDill Tire Schrader Valve Core #5260 Large Bore Speciality Tool Kit 7.jpg

I did not think of that. However, it looks like a very thin flake only on top of the socket which it will be squeezed once you use them first time.

Anyways, no more Facom sockets for me. Ratchets are good though as well as the hacksaws:)

Pretty crappy Dutch on that last picture :)

Very nice looking Klaukes, Monte; however I wonder how well you can crimp 16mm² with those?

I don´t have 16mm² cable and ferrules right now, but i´ll try it next week. 2,5mm² works pretty good though :D ;)

I really wish I could find this in the USA or on the Amazon.de site. Please also post other garden tools from Europe, I would love to find some.

Yeah here in the US almost all Hexagon Metrology products are marketed under the Brown & Sharpe name. Even Interapid indicators are now called B&S although they don't say it on the dial.

My 0-1" mic is an Etalon Microrapid. It has a geared up thimble that moves 0.1" per revolution. Saves a lot of winding.

I picked up these Tang Yugoslavia 14 - 22mm wrenches very cheaply at a garage sale. I guess they would be about 30 years old. The chrome is starting to peel on some, but they seem solidly made tools. As a test I used the 22mm taking apart a seized injector and measured a force of over 300NM. I am quite impressed.

:)
about €3000.- for the lift itself and €500.- for the base plate. I wanted a cheaper option (rebadged Nussbaum for 500.- less) but they couldn´t deliver the base plate in a timely manner so i went with the original. The italians (Zavagli Santi, Ravaglioli) offer better prices so this might be a good option.
