Made in the nineties - best screwdrivers ever made by Wera - not sure why they stopped production.

I believe the diamant had very fine industrial diamond dust in the tip for extra grippiness.

These were replaced / superceded by the yellow strikers. The new wera extra grip comes from the laser etching which I must say works quite well.

Perhaps they were replaced by the yellow ones with the striking cap?

The impact 900-series has been around for years, but it got updated with the yellow inserts - The Rocko series just went away - maybe to give room for the stainless

How do you like it? Is any good compared to a powered grinder?
It has a nice slim grip, but it´s kind of long. It´s a bit slow (8500 rpm) too and bogs down easily. My recommendation: Use a corded grinder. If you don´t have a power outlet: install one :) . If not possible get a portable generator :) ;)

Old stock from GDR production are easily to find on ebay, new ones unfortunately not... The internet says they´re good (at least the old WMW/Werkö ones).

Bosch Planner made in Switzerland. Bought together with the saw above and has processed hundreds of meters if not km of wood. Not an easy life through nails etc. and we rebuild it once with new bearings and blade holder etc. Still going strong though.

BriTool 1/4 T-Bar made in England. Very old but it fits in the sockets tight with no play.

Same on the 1/4 brushless impact Fein driver. I'd love to pick up the tool only (don't need the batteries).

^I believe you have a knipex branded Secura 2K as well? I can't readily see any differences in function between the two, but the price on the secura is significantly higher?

Found this like new Metabo jigsaw for $100. Love the variable speed. Will be ordering a full assortment of Bosch blades soon, unless there is something better out there.

Recently got a Wiha 32808 pair of insulated 8" long nose pliers. They are fantastic, the joint is butter smooth with no wobble, the chrome is beautiful and the grips are very comfortable. The paperwork that came with them says they are Swiss made, but there is not a single COO mark anywhere on the tool. Is Whia still making their insulated pliers in Switzerland or are they making them in their Vietnam factory and then just "finishing" them in Switzerland? Anyone know? I just find it odd there is no COO mark on the tool.

I had a failure with my PB Swiss hammer this weekend. Apparently the metal face is not solid but rather a steel cap over a Polyamide head. While using it the steel cap shattered! I've really liked the hammer so far so I plan on getting a new head and keeping it around, but I'm also looking for to see if there are any other good options for dual faced hammers out there. Does anyone on here have any experience with the Gedore Kombi-plus hammer?

^I believe you have a knipex branded Secura 2K as well? I can't readily see any differences in function between the two, but the price on the secura is significantly higher?
yes you´re right. The function is the same. The construction is a bit different. The Secura works a bit smoother (less recoil). If you use a stripper often I recommend the Secura. The Super 4 has a unbeatable price/performance ratio though at around 12 to 15€...you decide :)

The Jokari super 4 is good, fine the occasional use, would buy something a bit nicer if I was using it dozens of times a day but im not, far nicer than the cheap Chinese ones that hardly work.
What a mess of that PB hammer, I would just replace the faces, its obviously not designed to last forever.

That wolfcraft hook driver is Awesome. Its not perfect but Theres nothing better out there.

Mime is beat to death and I never use the handle but simply stick the bit in a drill.

Save me a lot of hand ache!

I used to have a lovely thick steel version of that with smooth air cushioned handles.. never realised the quality tull someone nicked them and I picked up a few cheap copies to replace it.. 90% of what you see now are nasty cheap pressings that are just horrible to use where as the STANLEY branded originals I had were great in the hand and perfect for shearing brass/electical screws...the cheap ones separate and level a sharp swarf edge on ghe snd of the screws that won't thread properly :(

I've obviously upgraded to ratchet crimpers for the insulated crimps but these were a great do it all tool to have on the box for emergencies. ..

Are those ones decent?? As normally that thin handle makes them uncomfortable to hold and is usually what the 'thin ones' look like??

Some tool **** for ya. Got a tool business and need some photography work? I'm your guy!

Didn't get the chance to use them yet but yes, they are very thin and feel uncomfortable.

I also got these Knipex electrician pliers:

They have a spring which keeps them slightly open and this makes it very easy to hold the pliers with just one hand to crimp or strip wires. Plus they are insulated, don't rust and don't bend like that cheapo thing :p

Maybe it is stronger with a one way ratchet and you just swap the head around for use the other way?
