What a good score!

I wonder who first started the convertible joint idea.....Bahco or Lindstrom. They are both under the SNA Europe brand and I would assume come from the same production line.

Do the grips on the Lindstroms have Bahco's "Ergo" trademark molded in?

03w-wirecutters-bahco-2101g-630-1.jpg

Nothing molded, just manufacturer, model and wire range printed.

Got this one for tight access and it is only worth to have it for that occasional case. I find it difficult to strip anything without biting into the wire.

Hello all,

Does anyone know how many teeth the below Hazet and Stahlwille ratcheting wrenches have?

Which would be better OR maybe opt for the Stahlwille FastRatch?

Thanks!

Snap-on 96ACF made in USA color green.

The difference compared to the earlier version with red color is that the green is slimer by 0.5-1 mm o the tip width.

It is true that you can grab a hair with these but cannot comment on real work scenario as I haven't had the need of using it yet[emoji4] a668cd20748c458af5f5aaa1d807a3b8.jpg67a9ef3b57613c0100d6bc8157c89c17.jpg

I have the Stahlwille 25. I havn't been arsed to go and count the teeth yet, but I have to say that these are one of the few Stahlwille tools that I'm not over impressed with.

The 'lining' material, for want of a better term, is plastic and even the chromed steel parts don't feel to be the best quality. The wrench inserts are probably o.k. but to be honest the whole tool feels so cheap I havn't used mine a lot!

I managed to source a set of new Snap On's (which at the time were discontinued) and they have a totally different feel - twice the heft and lovely to use!

I´m also not sure if any of these laminated wrenches are german....

Hehe, I am looking into Gedore made in Germany[emoji6]!

However, Fastratch seems different and more like a flare nut ratchet?

These blocks are plates of 150mm thickness after flame cut. They are use for the jack-up legs on offshore platforms. The gear is engaged on these teeth and moving the platform up and down.

I have the Gedore 7UR-12 set (German made), which have provided good service for me so far. I have used them quite a bit while working on older European cars, and they have not failed me. I've been impressed with how strong the ratcheting box ends are.

I also have the Facom 467AS set. While they are likely Taiwan production (although the packaging label did state Made in France), they are very nice. The anti-slip ring in the box end has come in handy several times for me. Facom now calls them 467B and has updated the wrench handle to more closely match the 440 series. USAG also sells a version, and it looks like they have good promotional pricing going on now in Europe (USAG 285 KA/DS12). Both the Facom 467B and USAG 285 KA have the anti-slip ring spring in the box end, just as the 467AS.

yeah it seems to be ideal for that case.
For rounded nuts and bolts it might work good too:

wow crazy stuff. I thought there is more high tech involved like huge hydraulic cylinders or something like that :) ...made in china huh ? :)

from my experience just ok for home use, the mechanics at work hate them, they prefer Knipex or the all steel Hazet. I personally like the Knipex and the Garant ones more
