The max width is about 71mm. There is a slight play in the chuck. No percussion version available. But with a good sharp (Bosch Multiconstruction, Alpen Profi Multicut) etc.) drill bit you can easily drill into stone without a percussion mode. And for concrete rotary hammer anyway. The maximum torque is measured basically with the drill at full speed driving a screw into a block of steel. I dunno if this says much...

Hi Monte,

Thank you for the feedback.

It is getting complicated with all these details.

So, Festool or Fein?

woodworker or metalworker ? :spit:
Question: Do you need more battery tools....or just a drill.... ?

My Fiskars came with one.
Quite sharp.
I have it too, but sometimes the cutting head is in the way and i need something longer :)

That's a shocker.
at least surprising :)
Wow at least one thing we still make in Sweden :eyecrazy:
There are more swedish made Husqvarna tools :) So you make already 10 things in Sweden :D. And Marabou chocolate, so 11 things :) And Daim (12 things).;) Bahco saws, Gränsfors axes, tools from EIA/Edsbyns Industri, Eka, Mora and Karesuando Knives (etc.), Woolpower clothes, food from Pagen and Singolla (etc.) stuff from Ikea (yes really !) etc. etc. So you still make about 56.845 things :D ;)

So much want... you ****...

I have like 3 Walter wrenches. Aesthetically and ergonomically they are among my favorite of any I own.

Hammered blue finishes and metal cases are also favorites of mine.

Nice saw Monte. :)

Looks like quite the aggressive saw that could cut through most branches quickly .

They have other uses too. I picked up a cheaper version, (Lidl), a while ago for cutting through the likes of Kingspan etc., and it also comes in useful for cutting out expanding foam around frames. Never touched a branch with it as yet though. :D

I use one of those extendable tree pruning saws to cut tree branches along the driveway. Come to think of it time to do that again. Have a motorhome to pull out in the coming weeks.

yes it does. Very nice saw ! Only a chain saw is faster :) (or a longer hand saw...)

Nice saw Monte. :)
Thanks :)

That´s the next tool on my wish list. Much better than a ladder or climbing in the tree...

And a question: Does any reputable manufacturer except King **** make form A WW combination wrenches in form A? Gedore and Elora offer only form B in the 1b and 205 lines.

Walter 1/2" set in the garage since 1970.

I bought the exact same brush couple of weeks ago, but the nut on top is too thin. I don't have any 22mm spanner thin enough to fit in between the grinder and the cup to undo it...
The osborn bevel brushes don't have this problem.
I always can remove mine by hand (with gloves of course :)). Only solution i have for you is grinding down a 22mm cheapo wrench...

Tools in action

Fixing snapped bolts on the Engine.

Gedore 1/4 is the smoothest of any Facom, Stahwille and some cheaper ones I have tried.

Although there is no feel to it, like the 72t Facom, it is the only one I have tried with no backdrag and can undo a bolt almost all the way out.

This extractor is the best I have owned. Mind you that you need to manage and drill a hole but once there will most likely take the bolt out.

One tip, hit many times the bolt with a hammer and punch plus some penetrant to shake it off.

More tools in action. I really like the Sonax penetrant with the extended nozzle; it makes life easy.

Leon - your question might confuse some as 'form A' is a DIN (German Standard) term, which isn't commonly used with regard to Whitworth Wrenches!

However, yes, the most prolific are Snap On, which are very nice, but very costly, and of course Snap On don't call them 'form A' either!

To be honest, you will find top quality used wrenches, of the style you want, on British eBay regularly, at a fraction of the price of new Snap On. Most people go this way. Old Britool, Bedford, Gordon or Garrington are all good!
