new style Facom torx drivers, very happy!
Those look really nice! Probably a lot more comfortable than my Wihas. After buying Facom's 1/2" drive kit with extendable ratchet, I ve become a big fan of their tools. Will post my next acquisition as soon as it makes its way here from England.

See my post above!

Though I acknowledge Monte as the expert on all tools Germanic...!

Great news. I will ask Wiha also. Have a pistol I’m working on restoring and leave it to the Germans- will have to make some of the tools per the instruction manual just to strip the slide! Thank you, Sir!!!

CGarage,

I don't think Stahlwille makes hammers. The is based on a DIN standard so any hammer manufacturer can chose to produce it. I'd guess it could be a Picard or a Peddinghaus since they specialize in hammers.

The acetate handled screwdriver looks like a Wiha?

I have a Stahlwille engineers hammer, are they rebranded from another company? I bought an old toolbox from an aircraft mechanic and the hammer came with it so I don’t know the history with it but I use it regular in the workshop it just has a natural feel to it for the small jobs it is intended for.

There is a guy who has put together a very comprehensive guide for all Bahco adjustable wrenches. Unfortunately it's all in Swedish...
Perhaps you can make to with some translation services: https://skiftnyckeln.blogspot.com/p/3e-generationen.html

It sounds like a third generation one, like I linked. A 71 or perhaps 81. They have a large time span, from 1924 to 1969.

This link is fantastic! Thanks! :)
You are right, I checked - my Bahco is 71 (frontside: 8" BAHCO 71 Made in Sweden; backside: A/B B.A.Hjorth & Co Stockholm).

Considering the link you send me, I don't see the difference between photo XIVa (which belongs to 1924-1954 era) and photo XVa (which belongs to 1954-1969 era). Maybe I am missing some details?

The acetate handled screwdriver looks like a Wiha?
CGarage - if you were referring to screwdriver number 2, that looks like a Wiha item rather than a Belzer.

I think that superautobacs and Dave455 are right. Although, on first sight, that screwdriver looks like Belzer or Dowidat... i would also say it is Wiha, based on some little details that are not so noticeable, but can be spotted on the photo (the tip, upper part of the handle, etc).

Schmole or Schmöle ?

Schmöle! :)
Forgot the umlaut. German is one complicated language :)
Any info about them?

New old stuff. It even has the QC slip in it.
Beautiful ! :pimpflash

Monte now time to go buy a new chainsaw and fill the shed with cut wood.
:) I would like to have a new saw (Dolmar 6100) but i think i wouldn´t use it much. I already own 5 chain saws :scared:.... (1x gas, 1x electric, 3x battery)

Can anyone identify the makes of the flat head screwdrivers and pin-punches?
This is from a German tech manual printed in the 70s-80s.
I assume the tools are likely of German origin.

Edit: Engineering hammer looks similar to an engineering Stahwille hammer.
One of the screwdrivers looks to have a Belzer style handle.
The other plastic handle and the two with wooden handles I have no idea about.
I think the guys are on the right track....
PS: here is a pic of #3:
https://shop.strato.de/epages/61028398.sf/de_DE/?ObjectPath=/Shops/61028398/Products/"WB+3951/14"
Does anyone have some information about Schmole tools?
The search always return tool sets like this: (special tools for faucets + thermostats etc.)
https://www.ebay.de/itm/Schmoele-Gr...=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
https://www.ebay.de/itm/Grohe-Schmo...396873?hash=item3da0009189:g:1D0AAOSwQJ1eeRXs
Note the pine tree on the lid.
The patent office shows always the same results if you look up the "Schmöle" trademark: www.schmoele.de
Schmöle = Grohe www.grohe.com
Monte, that is a beautiful shed. What squared off blue hammer is that in your wheelborrow?
Thanks:)

Delivered this morning - Blighty to Oz

Some Vallorbe files (200mm; cut 1 , Cut2) and 200mm and 300mm rasps; cut 1 and 2

Starrett Tri-square 150mm is smooth! A vast improvement on my old Starrett, Stanley and Rabone. I particularly like the extended lines for the 3|4 and 7|8 markings.

The tips looks great! How are the handles? Are they more of a hard grip vs the older protwist style?

I never used the Old style however these have got a firm handle, not had chance to use them in slippy conditions but i feel like they would grip well.

Received this morning

Those look great! I saw a set like that on eBay a while ago too, but couldn’t find much about the company so ultimately passed.

However just like PB Swiss the color coded keys are soooo useful. It’s so simple but it’s extremely useful, I see that Bondhus has some too but they use weird colors. Inbus and PB got it right using primary colors.

INBUS renames to Format. It is also the same as the Hazet 2105LG / 9HC ,. (information taken from Garage journal). A publication from a few days ago and that recently I had to work with Allen screws helped me decide.

Sorry, not for sale.

I only sell my homemade repro hazet stools for the early Assistents.

Mr Lemons, good luck on finding your Gedore cart.

A good friend of mine is planning his retirement in the south of France and gave me a big box full of more specialist tools (pullers etc.). Very happy and grateful for that.
Two very nice spanners made in Germany and Sweden (Dowidat and Bahco)

and one tool which I think is a kind of puller who can tell me what it is?

More to follow.
Thom

Interesting, I would have thought Facom would have put their name to a better brand of vehicle.

They don't seem overpriced first time i've seen a TILTING ELEVATOR as well.

They are both French companies of course, and Renault Sport do build some rapid cars, not the most reliable but quick.
