Who besides me became extra interested for a moment when the hero of the story was working on his bike and then grabbed a ratchet.
It was visible for only a second and what I could see looked Danahar-ish.
If I had to guess I'd say it was an Allen brand .

I noticed Jasmine on the show Tattoo Nightmares has a Waterloo tool box at her station. I also remember Doug had a Snap-on box in his basement on King of Queens.

The guy had a cool pad. Looks like he had some other projects & vehicles around, typical car guy.

Agreed. A weird Jellystone Park looking camper with a Red Green show shack att'd. The guy was definitely a hack jobber survivalist too.

Ok go ahead and laugh but every time they pan a shot in the tv show American pickers, I keep screaming mother of *** you xxxxx'x just passed up a workbench full of vintage gold go back over and let me see what the hell that old coot has laying on the bench.

Never happens I repeat never happens...Frank likes the old oil cans but not tools and the other guy likes old bikes but again not the tools.

Same here. Ever since I started working on cars as a hobby, I had to watch all the Need for Speed movies from the start. Makes more sense than ever before.

The Punisher was pretty good for tools. Of course Ironman and some of the DVD extras in the first Ironman show some more CNC machining (albeit open vertical mill). The guy fly cutting at like 400rpm in Ocean's Eleven makes me chuckle everytime ....thunk.....thunk....thunk

Some cool lathes in the Mission Impossible where he hides in the white van when the factory explodes.....or was that a Die Hard???

Pray that it stays that way. Imagine if they showed any type of tool on that show and it was worth big bucks. Every Tom,**** and Harry will charge a billion dollars for his ratchet, wrench,vise,etc because "Oh, I saw that on american pickers and they sold it for xyz so mine is a bargain at xyx - 10%

I had thought about that very case scenario, but in fact most (not all) check ebay for a price guide. Asking is one thing getting the money in your hand is another and when some clown says I want American picker prices I laugh and say good luck as I am walking away.
