Picked up this little Anex #316 thumbwheel ratchet set for hex bits. (made in Japan ....
Interesting!
Does the bit stay in the narrow black plate when torque is applied?

The bit's inserted into the thumb ratchet (either side depending on direction and both sides are magnetized). Then you can slip on the little plastic thumb spinner. Yes, you align it with the hex on the bit.
The handle can be threaded onto the ratchet when you need a little more torque like you're initially breaking loose the fastener.
The set seems like pretty nice quality.
redvalkyrie,
How do you like those Tone sockets? Which metric sizes do they come in 3/8" drive?
Do you own any Ko-ken deep nut grip sockets? If yes, which brand do you like better and why?
Thanks,
Dave

I have the 2nd Vessel from the top and it is not that great, made in Taiwan.Not sure, but it's cheaper on this website;

Vessel's hybrid tips do JIS and they do a similar tool;

Frank lived in Japan for quite some time. He can get you anything you want. ANYTHING. He's a straight shooter.Frankstools and Rakuten are popular. I think Levelchrome shut down? Amazon has some stuff too.
Interesting, I wasn't aware Vessel had some stuff made in Taiwan, I prefer my Hazet bit holder and PB Swiss bits... I was thinking Vessel do good bits for JIS.

Can anyone please school me on SEK tool from Japan? On german ebay I recently discovered a very uncommon set. Since then, I tried to find out whether or not I should go for it.
Not sure, but nobody has yet posted some of my favorite Japan made tools?..(Nitto Kohki)

They look like surgery tools, very nice!!!
I am afraid I can smell trouble for our wallet once you give us more information and feedback.

... However, if you want it--go for it. You're not likely to come across it again.
Thanks, if I can expect decent quality I gonna put a bid on it. It's already several months on eBay.
