hi all,

have read on the net that practical classics or some such site did a test on a number of manufacturers tools and that gearwrench/metrinch beat snap-on, anyone know where these results are can't find them for the life of me?

any ideas what makes were tested, what sizes they tested, was it just spanners

thanks in advance

Toptul is the only site I can think of with any "data." Most everything else out there is basically anecdotal.

There has been talk (a few times) on this board of buying some tools and testing them to watch and record what happens. That hasn't happened yet.... (we all have lives,)

lol practical classics are not serious wrenchers, its a hobby magazine by hobby journos testing tools for the hobbyist.

Anything will beat snap on in the mag as few can justify 4 ton on a set of spanners

lol, what?

Anyways, I wouldn't trust anything except for a reputable 3rd party. I believe that Craftsman advertised somewhere that their pro screwdrivers were stronger than all others, including S-O.
