Hey it's holiday here. Got plenty of time sitting on my **** while wifie is cooking up a nice dinner. So let's talk about useless stuff, literally.

I got one here. Since I only use NGK Denso platinum or iridium spark plugs that require no adjustment, this thing is completely useless to me. Bought it just because of wanting to be a car guy and useless stuff still makes me happy.

Just not useful to you at present.

Lifetime warranty? I wonder how many claims they've had....

I bought a windshield wiper arm puller for no particular reason. Never needed one before, but it was on clearance for like $2 and I figured it might make a useful puller in the right circumstance (I mean, wiper arms obviously, but maybe wheels from a kid's toy too? Something like that).

I'll have to think on it some more because I know I've bought things largely because they were a good deal - or to adapt to some other purpose than originally intended.

Oh! As I was typing that I thought of another one: Klien conduit locknut pliers.

I'm not an electrician, nor do I have any conduit to install. I remember coming across these as another clearance bargain though. I figured the jaw shape might be handy for other tasks too - maybe pressing the sides of electrical clips, for example. I'm always a sucker for a neat pair of pliers.

Matco 40th anniversary ratchet. And I’ll be da*ned if I didn’t walk in the shop one day after buying it and it being in my toolbox to finding someone had borrowed it during lunch and was using it getting it all nasty and scratched up. I went off too. They are like well I needed an extra ratchet to hold this in place I’m like I don’t care you don’t use anything of mine without asking me first. Later I apologized and we are still good friends to this day and since the ratchet was worthless after that I use it now.

Anything else I’ll use really unless it’s special edition or something.

Whitworth wrenches and sockets. Got them used/dirt cheap. Ended up using them. Then "Gifting" them into a friend's toolbox, because - Funny.
Some cheap crapulent tools for work loaners aka "Tools for Fools". They are bad enough people get their own tools pretty quickly. You know, the ones that come in a 200 piece set for $10. Fun stuff.

I recently bought 6 pipe wrenches at an auction (my dad's retirement auction). I wanted only 1 but they came in lots of 3 and I was bidding on 2 lots and won both. I don't quite know what I will do with them.

I have three of the craftsman bottle openers that I bought when I worked there in the late 90's. I use them all the time and would love a Klein

I have nothing to this effect either. I use 90-100% of the tools I have, granted some have been used once, but are still used.

You may not need or use it now.....but I would definitely hang on to that.

At some point in the near future your going to need it for a quick reference or confirmation, etc. for a spark plug.

Like you I also only use NGK or Denso spark plugs and before actually installing new ones back into the engine I check each one to confirm that they are actually at the setting they should be. Yes even though they say that they are "pre-set" to the required gap.....I still check because I've found out that there are some spark plugs that are not correctly gap'd!

If you still feel you don't have a need for it or want it......then send that to me.... I'll take it off your hands! :ROFLMAO:

Just my $0.02 :dunno:

Back when I was working and had money, I'd buy tools that were on sale. I'd bring them home, unwrap, stick them in the tool chest, in some cases, never to be seen again. For example, an SK spline drive socket set, and a GearWrench pass-thru socket set. Both are quality stuff, neither has seen the light of day, much less touched a fastener.

When I first got hooked on GJ I decided that I needed to build my Craftsman 1/2" drive chrome set out to 1-1/2" by 1/8". I bought Armstrong. I'll probably never use them.

Years ago I bought KNIPEX - 46 21 A41 circlip pliers, they're huge and handle up to 5.5" shaft dia. But they were stupid cheap on sale so I bought them, never intending to use them. But they actually came in handy once to tighten a retainer ring on a Honda CT70 ignition switch.

I bought 3 pairs of these Klein 160 Year Anniversary Lineman pliers. I have only one pair left that are actually still in original plastic sleeve. These I’m keeping For posterity. 🛠. They sure are purdy.

I bought the gold Icon ratchet from harbor freight because it made me chuckle. Then I returned it because $60 for a laugh was a bit much. But that good Nepros ratchet posted above looks amazing, I might search out one of those for the lols.

Your snap-on guy probably repeated that sad story to every shop he went to.
He didn’t say anything to me till after I bought it and my coworker bought one and I seen them all laying on his truck the past month or so haha. Now I know why he had very limited pink stuff to start with probably happens every year.

They only require no checking or adjustment until you drop them or pull one out of a damaged box that doesn't look like the others.

I also have a pink Snap-on ratchet I bought to support the cause I don’t plan to use. He only sold two though so I did feel bad too so that’s part of the reason I bought it.
I have a pink blow gun that I bought to support the cause, and got a free ‘socket it to breast cancer’ snap on hat for the missus :)

worked out well, the blow gun really stands out on the floor of the garage and the missus isn’t bitching about having a cold head 😁
