I thought that it would be a good idea for a thread to catalog tools that most people are unaware that you can buy at Sears. I get SYWR points often and sometimes have a hard time finding stuff to buy. Let's keep our Sears bashing elsewhere and focus on the unexpected tools that you can find there.

I'll get things started:

VIM Hex Master set - 26 Pieces:
http://www.sears.com/vim-products-h...sellerId=SEARS&prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1

VIM Metric Stubby Hex Bit set:
http://www.sears.com/vim-products-9...sellerId=SEARS&prdNo=4&blockNo=4&blockType=G4

VIM SAE Stubby Hex Bit set:
http://www.sears.com/vim-products-9...sellerId=SEARS&prdNo=5&blockNo=5&blockType=G5

VIM Torx Stubby Bit set:
http://www.sears.com/vim-products-1...sellerId=SEARS&prdNo=6&blockNo=6&blockType=G6

WERA 6 Piece Screwdriver set:
http://www.sears.com/wera-kraftform...sellerId=SEARS&prdNo=2&blockNo=2&blockType=G2

WERA Kraftform Kompact Bit Screwdriver:
http://www.sears.com/wera-kraftform...sellerId=SEARS&prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1

WIHA Insulated Screwdriver set:
http://www.sears.com/wiha-6-pc-scre...sellerId=SEARS&prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1

It's worth noting that most of these tools aren't terrific deals all the time. The prices fluctuate around 10% +/- depending on the day. Sometimes they show up with a reduced price due to Amazon. But these are tools that many people probably don't know that you can buy cheap with points once in awhile.

Let me know if you guys have any other ideas of tools that others may not know are available through Sears.

Please limit to tools sold by Sears so that they will be points-eligible.

I've bought quite a few Armstrong tools off of Sears.com. If you are into their points program, you can use and gain points on them as well. The prices tend to fluctuate a bit but overall better than Grainger and on par with with most other online retailers.

Not bashing, but fyi. Advance auto sells a lot of that Vim stuff, and if you can get it 40% off free shipping if you pick your coupons right.

These are worth mentioning. Vessel (Japan) made screwdrivers. Probably JIS

Sure, these items can be had elsewhere. But I think that it would be nice to have a repository for some of these tools at Sears so that when you do get those $10 of $20 SYWR coupons, you can have somewhere to look.

Part of my thinking in starting this thread is because I have bought most of the USA Made Craftsman stuff that I will need. Now when those magical points come in, I sometimes have trouble finding stuff worth buying.

Part of the problem with the Sears site (amongst many issues) is that it shows all the **** from other sellers. Yes, people relist Harbor Freight stuff on the Sears site. I would turn your attention to items sold directly by Sears, some inside the stores and some sold strictly online.

Like tjpavlov said, Sears isn't necessarily selling this product directly. Their
Sears "Marketplace" is acting as a venue to other sellers, similar to Amazon.

I didn't know Sears carried 10mm sockets. Every time I was there they never had any. I hear from a co worker that they do indeed still sell them.

I wish they still sold guns and ammo... then I might enjoy my job more (discount on ammo would be sweet).

I can't even buy any shoes there (none are wide enough).

Many years ago they did a study of male *** offenders. They gave them printed material from ********* *********** to everyday magazines.

The *** offenders claim what turned them on the most was the lingerie section of the SEARS catalogue.

It's those Chicago girls. Worked out for Hefner, too.

I've bought guns, ammo, and even a trumpet at Sears. Heck, back in the day you could buy a new car from them!
