Got this email from tooltopia which usually already has very competitive pricing so I figure someone will like it. I may browse myself later and pick up a thing or two.

HANDTOOLS10 for 10% off every single hand tool order

8/28-9/01
1 Coupon Per Customer
Items must be in stock (no rain checks)

For anyone not aware of tooltopia they carry a lot of SK, GW, OTC, Lisle, Knipex etc.. and with the additional 10% off it will probably make the prices the lowest on the net by at least a few dollars if not more.

Thought lowest tool prices on the web + an additional 10% off would get more interest. :headscrat

Thanks for the tip. I've been thinking about getting a bunch of mechanics time saver socket holders from them, but have trouble committing to the $75 free freight minimum.

I think I've got a basket going...

Lisle spill-free funnel
Lisle impact screwdriver

Thinking about the SK flare nut wrench set, but I might save that for Epstein's SK day.

So, for example:

SK 4046 22 Piece 1/2" Drive 6 Point Metric Deep Impact Socket Set

Amazon: $221.90 Prime, plus sales tax in NY = $239.65

Tooltopia: $227.99 free ship, no sales tax, minus 10% = $205.19

They sell the Knipex Cobra 125 mm pretty cheap there.
I agree the free shipping threshold might be holding some back.

Doesn't look like hand tool accessories are included. I tried with the 6pc set of Hansen trays and it was a no-go. Seems to be strictly limited to things like pliers, screwdrivers, ratchets, wrenches etc..

They sell the Knipex Cobra 125 mm pretty cheap there.

One of the things im debating over is the 3pc set of cobras with comfort grips. Comes out to ~$95 for the set.

One sweeter deals is the GW Gearbox wrench SAE+Metric set

Anyone know about their sk stock? Wondering if it's the newer stuff. How is tooltopia to deal with?

I'm looking at some sk stuff and the prices are already lower than other vendors. The set I'm looking at is $20 cheaper. Other vendors would have to come down a lot to match the no tax, free shipping, plus 10% off...not sure sk day can touch that. I'm all about supporting us businesses, but I can't spend $30 extra on a 160 order...that's too much difference.

Their sets are almost always new stock (haven't gotten an old stock set from them). However, their open stock is completely old stock. If you need open stock, I'd wait for SK day and get it from epsteins. Some of the lower volume stuff is still old stock too.

Do things like a 45173 ratchet count as open stock? It's the 3/8" drive in a 1/4" body. Surely that'd be new stock right?

So those time saver socket trays didn't work?

Correct, its strictly limited to hand tools, not hand tool accessories.

As stated sets are new stock. Tooltopia is more of a drop ship site but they have pretty good customer service if you had any issues although with a hand tool order i'd suggest you go through SK for any problems such as a mis-stamped socket.

Thanks for this. I got the Irwin 117pc tap and does set for $240 to my door! Was thinking about getting this for awhile through snap on since I have a hook up for a student discount but this deal even beat that price!
