I just saw an item on ebay sold by tooltopia cheap, but when I checked my email for any offers I noticed they haven't sent anything out this year, and when I went to the web page sign up didn't work (among other functions of the web page).

Is anything going on with Tooltopia?

I get emails from them from time to time. Just actually got one yesterday. Perhaps you accidentally unsubscribed?

I think they just dropped me since its been a couple years since last purchase, ironically it was for a set of those spline wrenches.

They're still active. They send out weekly specials email each Tuesday and a special (to them) deal on one item on Thursdays.

They also have a new annoying feature that if you look for something on their site but, don't buy it, Tooltopia will send you emails saying that fill in the blank is still waiting on you. :wtf:

Harry, this is becoming an annoying problem from everybody. Toolbarn started it, Acme Electric followed them and Zoro now does it too. If I wanted to buy the ******* item I would have bought it. If I didn't go through with the purchase there was a reason, don't hound me with this ********.

A huge percentage of on line retailers partner/contract with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for the running of their internet sites. Think that ^^^ is a coincidence???

They all do it now and plenty of stuff worse than some wrenches for ads lining every page.

Well, regarding the annoying feature, that is standard on modern e-commerce platforms, the only question is is the vendor actually using it to convert browsing into purchasing. For those that don’t like it, there is one potential benefit. The vendor may also send you a promotional code in that email to entice you. I know one vendor I use for car parts does this, so I load up my cart, then wait 1-2 days for the extra % off offer. But if you really don’t like it, you might be able to opt out of all emails.
