I recently tried them and had a bad experience. I usually buy my Proto stuff from Zoro, who has the best prices, but tried Toolup because they had a 20% off promo.

11/8- Placed an order for a 1/4 universal socket set. The item was not in stock, so I expected it would take a few weeks.

11/21- Heard nothing from Toolup regarding an expected delivery date, so I called them. They told me that they would receive it on 11/24 and then ship it to me.

12/15- Didn't receive any communication from Toolup and called them again. They told me that the order was cancelled on 12/8. I paid with Paypal and it is Paypal's policy to cancel the payment after 30 days if the vendor did not fulfill the order in that time period.

It was only one experience, but I won't use them again.

I must confess, I never had problems with stock. But I did find that their customer service does not communicate much. After starting this thread I waited and low and behold the part was shipped out without them notifying me. Although it was not a problem, I would have like a warning of some kind.

I didn't have any problems with them. Ordered some out of stock items and they showed up in 2 or 3 weeks. I'd use them again :dunno:

I agree, their customer service is lacking.

I ordered an M12 Fuel Hackzall that was on backorder back in November. I emailed them a few weeks later to get an estimate, and all they did was copy and paste the disclaimer from the product page that said they usually ship within 7-21 days.

Most companies would tell you when they expect to receive their shipment, or give you something better than a copy and paste of something I already read myself.

That being said; I received the item and it was priced lower than anyone else.
$139 - $25 coupon and only $7 to ship. No tax here in GA, and it came with a free 4.0 battery, which I will be selling and sweetening the deal even more.

I wouldn't hesitate to order again, but maybe next time I'll call if I have issues.
