Any ideas? This came on a roller that I wanted so I am likely going to clean this one up and stick it on CL before my wife discovers the new box in the garage...

Fwiw, all of the stickers are gone now except for the Mac one. The box polishes up pretty well. It has some bumps and scratches, but it is definitely built better than new Craftsman boxes and at least as well as my late 90s one.

Well, here it is after a quick clean and polish. The pics aren't the best but it look a LOT better. A little lube on the slides helped considerably too. Of course I now wish I could keep it but I can't so I need to find out what it is!

It looks really familiar- I know I've seen the setup with those pulls before but I can't seem to find anything.

Braintrust, don't let me down now!

Looks suspiciously like a Waterloo, they made them with and without front covers.

Waterloo made the Craftsman box I have (which is similar to your photo). The pulls are completely different on the red box than anything I've seen from Waterloo. But thanks for he reply!

its a Mac box I have one in the garage same pulls, should be a decal inside with number if you remove drawers

O rly? I'll go check. Thanks!

EDIT: Easier said than done. Any tips for removing the drawers?

Ha! It turns out that the slide I was looking at was the ONE of all of them that had the tab broken off. Having the tab makes it easier...

I did take out that drawer though and didn't see any decal or info. Wp, do you know where it should be? I could at least look for evidence of a decal having been on at one time. Mac is what I thought it was originally but I haven't found any online that look like it. Clarke was another possibility.

Any recommendations for a fair asking price?

By the time I'd put the work into it getting it cleaned up and looking as good as you did, I'd want to keep it.

Don't encourage me! I *want* to keep it but really don't have the room. I'm collecting rollers to use as under-bench storage so the top boxes just take up valuable bench space.

If my Craftsman stuff was red though, I'd keep this one and sell a Cm top chest. This is slightly smaller but feels much better.
