I have not had time to epoxy the floor in my new detached garage, so I tapped a buddy who is currently unemployed and has time on his hands. He epoxied the floor in his own new 24ft x 40ft shop a few years back with acceptable results, I've never done one, so he had a leg up on me.
I purchased the Rustoleum Professional Epoxy Sheild solvent based 2-part product.
The concrete is a year old and clean, and he used the recommended stuff for etching, prior to epoxy application.
This time, however, his paint application technique is "less than stellar". Some areas are dull gray from the nap of the roller presumably, some are shiny, distinct lines from the roller, etc. He already had to apply a second coat to fix some thin areas.
I'm thinking about having someone else apply a top coat of the same product to fix the uglies.
Can anyone on the forum comment if this would work, or even be advisable?
