Just a heads up for anyone buying the Topdon scanners for their extended warranty/updates, be sure to keep the packaging!! The warranty card indicates that a simple email is all that is required in order to get the extended updates, thats turning out to not be 100% accurate.
Service from Topdon (Asia) couldnt have been faster or easier. Response within 10 minutes. Very helpful.
Service from Topdon USA.. Not so much. 24h turnaround and making weird requests. Now they are requesting pictures of the packaging and warranty card to give me the extended warranty. Heres hoping the rest of the process goes painless.
Im not exactly sure how this would have played out if the box had gone out in the trash today as it was supposed to. Lucky my slack *** paid off !!
The 2 year extended updates was the main selling point for me. Just be sure to keep literally everything until you receive your official authorization for extended updates I guess.
Oh and the Topdon USA or International website will not allow you to register your unit online (confirmed by Topdon Intl (Asia) and my experience) which seems like a huge oversight.
