TopTul Bit review

First off I ordered a bit set and 2 t handle spark plug wrenches and also a bunch of adapters. The bit come with

1/2" 7 Pieces
3/8" 4 Pieces
1/4" 9 Pieces

The adapters are various sizes. All the bit are tight and pressed in I would say no pin holding them in, the spark plug sockets have some chrome peeling on the inside but nothing that would bother me, and I haven't used them and not sure I will but the price was right. My father I also got a set of bits, have used them on 60-70 chevy's stripping parts ie:door hinges and other rusted parts, and loves them they took the beating and never showed any wear on the bits at all. Let me know if you have questions, but all the stuff looks good and the swivel adapters are really tight also. Also Merkava, I used the macro function with my macro lens this time. Last but not least my favorite vintage tool, the cavalier 96

Not familar with the brand, looking at the bits themselves they do not look to be of German decent.

Far from it...it's made alllll the way on the other side of the world--Taiwan. ...not that there's anything wrong with that. Great bang for the buck.

Funny how you can look at a picture of something and see whether or not something is made in Germany.

One thing is for sure; TOPTUL is taking their design and visual cues from German tool companies like Stahwille (their ratchets are very close looking) and the Hazet matte finish (pretty much all german tools seem to have this); their tool cases look similar as well.

What does this adapter do?

I think it makes a ratcheting wrench into a ratchet (with magnets to hold bolts).

That's what I thought. But I thought those adapters were supposed to make a "low profile" ratchet. Instead it has drive ends coming out of both sides.

Here's mine that'll act as a low profile 3/8" ratchet when combined with a 13mm ratcheting wrench.

Those spark plug sockets are the old design and the new style are much different, One old socket plastic bushing for magnet new style is metal, Two new socket magnetic plated better no peeling of chrome old style peels badly on most of them. The new magnetic sockets from Mike Wrenn are much much better than the old style from ebay guy in charlotte nc.
