I luv mine and ya they’re extra long. I can get you measurements the first of the week if no one else chimes in.

I must have taken that picture for someone else here before. But that’s a 19mm relative to a 32 at the top.

Best sleeper wrenches ever  Back in the day when Denny was selling them on ebay, they were the best wrench value.
A 10 mm from that set is 7 5/16 long, 13mm comes in at 9.5 inches, and the 19mm is 13.5 inches long.
I prefer the satin finish over the full polished. Lightweight, great balance, and definitely one of the stars in the Toptul lineup.
Another reason I wish Toptul had more of a USA presence

I'm seeing a small set through 19mm and two larger sets up to 24 or 32(30?). Both of the larger sets skip sizes I frequently use.
I have no need for anything smaller than 10mm in long pattern but would like to go to at least 24mm.
Are there sets available I'm missing?

What's the edge on the beam of a Toptul XL combination wrench look like?

Do they have rounded edges or are they square with painful sharp corners?

I do miss selling TOPTUL as I considered it to be a fabulous product. The girl that pissed me off there is long gone so I could fire up the business again anytime I want but with the current situation at the USPS (high prices and **** service) that's not a viable option. At the time I went into the TOPTUL business Craftsman had gone to hell and Capri and Tekton were not players in the game yet. I pushed TOPTUL as hard as I could to get them to commit to the American market but to no avail. I often wonder what could have been but it's too late now.

Yep, I think Toptul missed a golden opportunity to establish a large USA presence. Toptul didn't seem to catch on like other brands. Great stuff for the most part. I mean if Sonic and Teng can sell tools here surely, Toptul can :dunno:

From the dealer comments, it sure looked like Toptul thinks like a manufacturer, but don’t have much focus on distribution and being able to get dealers the right quantities in a timely manner (ie- regional stock warehouse - which is a chicken/egg thing before you have volume).

It would scream GJ group buy opportunity to me, but I suspect everyone would want different things versus offering 2 or 3 lots and pick which ones you’re in for.

Even when Sears failed, it wasn’t a slam dunk. Lots of tool buyers wouldn’t find it through specialty websites, and both brick and mortar and Amazon take a significant cut.

I still see Eric at SMA using the tools you sent him. I see Ivan using the wrenches you sent him too.

Fed, comparing Sonic and Teng to TOPTUL is like comparing Craftsman to Snap-On. They are not even in the same ballpark.

Toptul has extra long SAE wrenches that I can't find for the life of me over here. They are the ACAL series of part numbers, ACAL1212 for 3/8 to ACAL2424 for 3/4. Think we can generate enough interest in a group order for those?

You might be but I'm not. Things have changed and not for the better. Freight Forwarding charges would be at least $1000 and Toptul has a small order charge of $250 so before I'd even pay for the wrenches I've got a $1250 nut. Add to that the the cost of postage or UPS shipments which have more than doubled since I was in the TOPTUL business. If you can find me 300 people that would pay me in advance and wait six months for the slow boat from Taiwan to show up I'd consider it. My price would be $67.00 per set plus $20 for flat rate box shipping. Think you can find 300 people that would pay $87.00 for this set? I rather doubt it.

The best wrenches I own and I own a lot of different brands, I have either sold or given away 100 sets and never seen one damaged broken and only very happy people using these.

I bought those from Dennis when he was a dealer but you have to buy a box of each size because unlike MM set they don't have an SAE set of the extra long ones but I gave most of them away after I got what I wanted but they were really cheap back then also.

I never said they weren't great. It's just that the logistics have changed making the selling of TOPTUL far more difficult than it use to be. Just curious: Where did you find 100 sets of these wrenches? If you're in the TOPTUL business I'm happy for you as I believe in the company.

They still are relatively cheap but that's not the complete story as I mentioned above. The cost of shipping, EBAY's cut, and all the rest just made the final price a lot higher than I actually feel it needs to be. With Tekton and Capri now in the tool business it's a lot harder to push TOPTUL. Before they existed and after Craftsman **** the bed was the time when I felt TOPTUL could have killed it in America. Too Timid and to quote Mike Jagger: "Time Waits for No One." Some really great Mike Taylor guitar on that song.

JMToolCo sells them for $85 plus shipping (around $15 UPS to my address), so thats not too bad really.

I'm looking at an AAEA1010 on my desk now. Not sure if I got it from Mike or Dennis, but I'm glad I gotthe big set when I did. I'd buy another set in a heartbeat. Great wrenches, great feel. Tough as nails.

If Eric O. can't break them they are unbreakable. His only complaint to me was that since they are tightly fit to proper size they will not go over the swollen nuts he has to fight in New York.

I never implied that you didn't think they were great on the contrary you have always said their stuff was great just dealing with them was a problem. I have dealt with Mike Wren for TOPTUL over the years when he was part of Garage Journal a long time ago he still sells TOPTUL today just not on EBAY or Garage Journal for quite awhile. He still has these sets and other tools in stock https://wrenhandtools.com/. I used to sell them to friends and family and guys I worked with never made money just resold them because how impressive they are and never heard one unhappy person that has a set.

+1 Mike was Good to deal with, I’m glad to see he has a website, I can remember when you would just get a spreadsheet via Email.
