Hi guys, any opinion on the Toptul ratcheting screwdriver? http://www.thetoolchest.ca/products/Reversible-Ratchet-Screwdriver.html

I have one from Canadian Tire (Mastercraft) but I don't really like it, the ratcheting mecanism change direction by itself once in a while so i'm looking for another model. The Toptul is really cheap, in fact the same price as the one that I have now...

My boss has the Hard Handle Snap On in his toolbox. I like it and i'm tempted but it's pretty expensive @ 60$ or so in Canada.

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Geez, under $10? I am starting to become fascinated with Toptul products and prices in recent days. How can you go wrong for $10?!

It's got a nice shaped handle and a Santoprene grip. :dunno:

Merk, are you endorsing the look of this foreign product?:shocking:

I do prefer always to buy domestic, but Toptul seems to sell good quality new tools at a price even I can afford.

I bought one and the 31 piece bit set a few months ago. Fine for the price. Handle is quite comfortable, though I do prefer flutes instead of smooth for better grip. The ratcheting mechanism is a bit sloppy, but stays locked in whichever direction you twist it. The 31 piece bit set is very complete, tough to pull out of the box unless you have really small fingers, but inexpensive and convenient to carry. All in all, especially for the price, I like it. They even had a $5 flat rate shipping promo then.

I don' t like the looks of the reversing collar. But the handle does look nice. I guess you cant go wrong with the price. But I think I will stick with my SO & GW ratcheting drivers.
