Well, I do have these in stock.....$104.18 before the 20% discount. And since I love competition...I will always try to beat any Toptul price. And since it is suggested there is a long wait for items......yes there is a wait if I don't have something currently in stock or if something has run out. But also be aware that my inventory is quite extensive and there are many items that have not been even inquired about from the Journal that I have in stock. Also sorry for this blatant commercial but when Steve all of sudden starts making suggestions I feel obliagted to respond. No worries at all. There is plenty of business for everyone, but I also am willing to compete for business as well if that's what's called for.
Sincerely,

Hey Mike do you have the new Super Torque series Wrenches in stock? I know Ultimate Garage has them, so I just wanna know if you have them. I will be placing a pretty big order with you in a couple of weeks, mainly sockets (metric-short,deep in 1/4", 3/8", 1/2"), ratchets and some other stuff. I will send you complete spreadsheet of what I want when I am ready. Thanks

Hey!

Nope I don't have the AAEW wrenches yet. They came out just after my last shipment arrived. Thanks for asking.

hi mike ,
I love the wrenches. They seem to be made very well and work well well at work as a line tech. The gearless ratchet is too short , the handle is too small/short and seems to be unbalanced. Also the head is too bulky to fit into the spots where a gearless would be most useful. I do no know if the other rachets are similar to this as far as the bulk and balance. The ratchets will be fine for a shadetree guy but as a flat rate tech I need every advantage possible. Tell toptul to look at matco and snap on then make a design off those two. They did such a nice job on the wrenches. I still like toptul even though I am not crazy for the ratchet. Even with matco or snap on some things I prefer one over the other.

msrfrog....if you would like, shall we exchange that gearless for something you would like/use more? I have no problem with that at all.

Hi mike,

There is no need. I am not that unhappy with it to exchange it. I was just trying to give a review based on use at work. Thanks for the offer though. You can't be beat for customer service:thumbup: I work at a Toyota dealer so I know the importance of it .

Mike,
Some feedback for Toptul: One of the things I like about them is that they typically carry their tools in every SAE and metric size. Unfortunately, the flat type extra long double ring wrenches (AAAP series) are an exception. That wrench series is missing 13, 15, 16, and 18mm sizes! If Toptul manufactured two additional wrenches to fill that gap, I'd get a set immediately!
I'll also chime in on the new super torque wrenches: they're too short! I really like the design, but they need to be at least 30% longer. I hope Toptul gets around to making a long series in this pattern. I'd really like to see them make some thin pattern (tappet style) wrenches as well (those could be shorter!).
Thanks, Jon

Re: Toptul Socket Set

This thread was started almost a year ago for Mike to get input from HIS cutomers on their Toptul purchases. I think Ultimate Garage needs his own thread for his products and possibly his own ad sponsoring the forum rather than piggyback off of Wren Hand Tools but, that's just my opinion. Mike has done alot for the forum and those wishing to purchase Toptul items.

I agree that UltGarage should start his own thread, have his own customers and supporters, and not leave any more comments here that in NO WAY are supportive of Wren Hand Tools, its customers and enthusiastic supporters..............

I posted earlier stating no response. Mike has been in contact with me and I am in the process of putting together my first order with him. Mike has been very professional and courteous. I look forward to my first tool order.

SAE nut drivers or spinners......I have no idea but I will ask. As it is Sunday, it is MOnday in Taiwan so I'll shoot them an email.

Thanks for all the positive words as well.

On a side note I am thinking of doing a little more with USPS Flat rate boxes. It would be possible for me to ship on Saturdays as well. That way I could drink beer and eat my own body weight in some sort of food that's bad for us....until the wee hours of the morning and still be able to get something done on a Saturday.
Anyone have a prob with USPS Flat Rate??

Sincerely,

The only real problem with USPS that I have found is the tracking is about worthless (YMMV).

Depending on shipping insurance costs, flat rate boxes would be a good option. Shipping 70Lbs UPS would probably be alot more expensive than 10$-.

Flat rate is fine with me too, though I would suggest you do delivery confirmation, just to cover your a** and to give the buyer a tracking #.

Though I did think having your own toptul boxes was very professional looking fwiw.

I have no problem with USPS flat rate. I'd actually prefer USPS over UPS.

Mike, Thank you for the card. I can't help you with your car, I'll just have to live with my SAAB :p

Mike (or anyone else)--do the 3/8" SAE sockets come in satin finish? Unless I'm reading the catalog wrong, it seems the SAE only come in mirror. I like the satin on my metrics and was going to get them on the SAE if they have them.

I am 99% sure I can get the SAE sizes in satin. Problem is in my last order all the demand for SAE happened to be in Chrome so I ordered that exclusively for SAE.
That finish topic is about the HARDEST thing to predict in terms of sales, and ordering case after case of sockets gets expensive real fast so that was the reasoning behind me only getting the chrome last time. Just so you know it is my goal to have both finishes available in the wrenches and sockets. But also be aware that chrome may be phazed out as time goes by.

No worries, Mike. And no big hurry. I have some old chrome stuff kicking around that I can use but to satisfy my OCD, I need to have a full Hansen set of the satin stuff. Thanks.

Thanks for the card Mike!

I've seen some people here talking about wish lists, is that something that's setup through your site or just lists they've emailed you?

expat....I have some Hansens full in the warehouse right now. What drive do you need?

r6, "wishlists"...which in Jan will be one year old are when last year I asked guys on here (hmmm no women,.....weird) ha!..................what kind of tools they would probably buy if I brought them in. And I added the benefit of buying at the old prices before I raised prices this last January. So that is where the term came from.
So, I my do that again in the future or something like it, but not soon at all.
Thanks for asking!

Mike, I'm looking for the 3/8" SAE satin set (shallow and deep). Do you have this full set for the hansen? I think it goes 1/4" to 1", right?

USPS flat rate is fantastic, especially for dense items like steel tools.

Delivery confirmation for sure, it's applied automatically if you print labels with the USPS website.

By the way, I'm just a shadetree, but all the TopTuls I've used have performed beautifully.

He won't charge that, contact him. I got 2 boxes of tools, and it wasn't near that.
