I am looking at buying many sockets and I found an online shop that sells toptul at very good prices and sending worldwide(http://www.autokaubad24.ee/)
Is there anyone that uses toptul sockets professionally?
I was just to make a big purchase but my boss has some toptul and told me that they are not very good tools. But I don't believe him because he has about 3 or 4 toptuls :lol::lol:

For the life of me I have no idea why anyone wants to buy such a commonly used item that is so difficult to source. I have nothing against toptul but it is nothing more than your common run of the mill Taiwan made tools. Everybody and their brother has Taiwan made sockets of similar quality. If you lose one, break one or have to modify one, where do you get one? Buy something you can source locally.

And yes, I know your location. My recommendation still stands. For common high use items source local. If you need some specific feature that is required and can't get then by all means search it out. Sockets? Keep it simple and easy to replace.

I work quite a bit for busy shop employing 13 mechanics and they work on trucks, farm and construction equipment and basically whatever rusted out junk that gets dragged in. Shop supplies all tools and have bought several Toptul roll cabinets full of tools in past years. I keep an eye on the tool sets to see how they hold up, and I have plenty of Toptul sockets my self.

Looks like they are going to hold up very well in professional environment. I have yet to find any junk in their line of tools. Many of them are nothing special, so to speak. The ratchets work well but I don't care for them. Pliers do the job but there are better out there. Screwdrivers have good tips but the handles are not for everybody. IMO Toptul's wrenches and sockets are the best tools they offer. There they are absolutely playing with the big boys for fraction of the price. Quality control seems to be excellent, out of hundreds of tools I have handled I have never seen any flaws.

Only gripe with Toptul sockets was small size markings. But they fixed that recently and now they are big and easy to read.

I use Toptul professionally in auto restoration. The sockets have held up very well and still look and work as good as they did when I bought them 6 years ago.

Their wrenches have been exceptional and I have actually sold off the Proto, Mac and Snapon stuff to populate my metric drawer exclusively with toptul.

Of the 4 ratchets I have, one 3/8" drive was defective on delivery, the 1/4" drive socket release got weak after 3 years and after 5 years of daily abuse the comfort grip on the other 3/8" slipped off and will not stay on, mechanically it is as good as ever and were I to glue it back in place it would be fine. The 1/2" ratchet has been flawless.

I will admit I have been buying ratchets off the snapon truck for the last couple years. I doubt I would order another Toptul ratchet.

Their wrenches and sockets are their best offerings.

I am in Greece.
My boss told me that he had one 1/4 10mm toptul socket and he it rounded easily but I don't think so because most of his tools in the shop are no name China tools and he said that they are working well.....Only me have quality tools and always tells me not to give so much money for tools.
So your opinion is to buy toptul sockets without doubt?

Yes. Without doubt. I know this because the guys in the shop I mentioned earlier use impact wrenches on them all the time. This gives me very good perspective if sockets are good or not. Toptul sockets are good. :)

Your boss is either mistaken or he got a socket that escaped from quality control @ Toptul. They don't round out.. actually they are harder than many quality brand sockets.

The same also applies for the bit sockets(torx,hex....)?
Yes, great workhorses.

Perhaps there are stronger bit sockets out there. But if so - you have to pay several times the Toptul price for them. (Koken, Nepros from Japan come to mind)
