No anywhere near you but...... I took a look at the Torin 56" black box at Costco the other day. Its okay but for the money I'd go with the HF box. It just feels a little better.

I don't live in the US, thats why I want to know which of the costco's in the Toronto region has the torin tool box. Since the fact is I heard good and bad things about the CSPS one that my local costco offers.

The HF unit is 41x18, the Torin is 56x22. Not really similar. The Torin weighs about twice as much.

If space is a consideration the General is a decent box for the money.
If space is not a consideration then for the extra 50-200 (sale price or not) is pretty cheap for the Torin

I have looked at both, and the drawer configuration is what really got me. The Torin may be physically larger, but it appeared to me that most of the extra space was in the "side compartment drawers" that hold pegboard -- which is practically useless for what I would want. That pretty much made the playing field level in my eyes. Oh, and I don't like the catches on the Torin drawers. They are plastic and I think they would probably break if you looked at them funny.

Other than that, they are pretty similar I think -- and in fact, Harbor Freight also sells the same "Torin" box under the U.S. General name for a little more money. I would think they are the same manufacturer.
