Any Tormek owners here? I'm going to look at a used T-2000 tomorrow and it comes with an older square edge jig SVH-60 that is missing one of the knobs. Does anybody know what the thread pitch is on this Tormek jig? I'm hoping it's a fairly common size so I don't have to special order a knob from a dealer or site below:

Thanks.

Well I don't know the model number but I bought it Tormek back in the late 1990s. The square jig has two threaded posts that are M6-10. Hope this helps. Good luck with the Tormek. Great machine.

Your balking at spending $6.95 for a knob?
I'm in Canada, so with exchange and shipping it would probably be more like $20, but I'm more worried about the wait times involved with cross-border shopping because I'd like to start using the machine this week if I can.

Thanks for the quick reply. You've been very helpful  I found a couple M6-1.0 wingnuts in my shop that should work, but will try to negotiate the price down $20 in case I decide to order the proper knob.

Cheers.

Good luck. Put it in front of the tv and spend those long Canadian nights sharpening all of your blades.

Sounds like a good idea. I picked up a bunch of hand planes at garage sales this summer, so I've got lots of sharpening to do.

I bought the Tormek today and the M6 wingnut fit the jig just fine. Thanks again.
