Looking at leaf vacuums and these seem to be two well reviewed (whatever that's worth) ones available at the big box stores.

Anyone who has used one more than once who isn't a paid reviewer have anything to weigh in on one vs the other? This will be used for vacuuming only.

Open to gas powered suggestions as well since I'm not a fan of cords.

I've had the Toro version for going on 5 years and use the sh!t out of it. Still going. I've vacuumed and bagged countless numbers of leaves. Works well as a blower too. I like it.

Don't know anything about the B&D...

I would like a gas version too but all the reviews I read about gas blower/vacs are not good. I'm sticking with My Toro until it (if ever) gives up the ghost.

It would be nice if Toro came out with a cordless/battery version

I agree, the cord seems to be the biggest drawback of the Toro

Blowers/vacs drain batteries pretty quick. They had a sweeper for some years that was only good for about 10 minutes on high. The greenworks set only lasts about 15 minutes, plus the added weight of the battery. Cordless power just isn't there yet to take over the power and weight of corded for this particular tool.

That said its possible Toro may introduce one since they just launched a new battery platform last year but I doubt it would be good for anything but postage stamp lawns for the reasons above unless you have multiple batteries.
