Does anybody have any information on a Toro drill press? I can't find much about them. I'm looking for an older benchtop drill press but haven't had much luck finding a Craftsman, Atlas, Walker Turner, etc. nearby.

Toro built a line of power tools (drill press, table saw, jointer and maybe others) in the late 1950s or early 1960s. Toro is based in Minneapolis so you see those tools fairly often around here, but I don't know if they sold a lot of them nationwide. They were decent homeowner quality stuff, but I imagine it would be hard to find parts for them today.

According to Vintage Machinery, Toro bought out Tomlee and re-badged Tomlee products as Toro for two years before quitting production altogether, 1956 and 1957. They specifically refer to woodworking machinery, but I would assume that drill presses would be included in that category. The Toro drill press you are looking at might really be a Tomlee. You might want to see if searching for info under that brand makes it any easier to find parts/info.
