I need help&advice..ok help part 1st I have a reddyheater model 110btu it can get my shop up in the 80s when its in the 20s outside.Well today I started it&didn't wanna run tool it apart&a mouse nest was in there cleaned it up out it back together ran good for a minute then caught fire there was some nest stuck farther up that I didn't see, well it caught fire I unplugged& threw a small amount of water on it as I didn't have nothing else.(buying new extinguisher soon) anyways cleaned it back up it won't even try to fire no nothing its like its not even plugged in.
The board looks fine its all dry everything seems good..is there anyway to troubleshoot this thing? There's no reset button on it.Ok&my other questions..ok so has anybody ever heard of the MASTER ® brand torpedo heaters?Tsc gas one a 135000 on sale for 249 its multi fuel like my reddyheater,or another farm supply store has a 135 Mr.heat on sale for 254 but has a bigger tank so I really want that one but when I called the guy said its a kerosene heater&he didn't know about diesel.
So can I still run diesel out of it?I can not dare to smell kero makes me earl &Ill have a migraine from hell!So that's my deciding factor so what do you think? Also I found a guy down the road on cl has a Dayton that's kero only but he runs a mix of waste oil&gas..sounds like a bad middle school Friday nite without the weed&maddog 20/20..but he only wants 100 bucks the price makes me wanna get it but I'm thinking what he's been burning may cause me problems down the road..am I wrong?..P.s. Sorry so poorly drafted&put together did with my thumb while me mess are kicking my but &my kid is asleep on my arm lol

Master, Reddy and Dayton, among a number of other brands are all made by Desa. The troubleshooting steps (and most of the parts) are all the same.

I'd need to know more about your model heater to start to guess the problem.
