I have a need for a reasonably priced hand held torque limiting screw driver or allen wrench tool.
The tool is used by different volunteers while setting up an outside display. The display is set up once a week and taken down 4 days later. Part of the display has Allen Head set screws, probably a total of 120. We are currently using "T Handle" allen wrenches. The clearance is really too tight for the T-handles, but does limit the ability for over-tightening. The Volunteers skill sets vary and the directions/guidance we give is not followed, the set screws many times are over tightened or left loose.
I have found some torque screw drivers, some seem to be for gun smith uses.
I completely understand no matter how dummy proof it is made we will still have problems. I am just trying to reduce a one small portion of the problems. All in all the volunteers do a great job.
Since the tools are used by volunteers I need something that will last but not break the bank. I know I am dreaming a little.........
Thanks for the ideas.......
