I'm needing a 3/8 electronic torque wrench to get into some blind spots and my snappy clicker is just not doing it for me. I was thinking of getting the masterforce 3/8 digital wrench or I found a snap on atech2fr100a for $75 used in good looking shape but have no idea if it's in spec.

Thoughts?

You're on here asking if you should buy the electronic Snap-On for just $75 bucks, wouldn't be surprised if it's gone by now. That is extremely cheap.

I would have bought it immediately and sent it off for re-calibration. You would still be way ahead.

If it is sold, most any Taiwanese made electronic torque wrench will be of good quality and accurate.

Went back and got it. Wrench had all the paper work in the box. Box was filthy but the wrench did not have any wear at all. Also found an OTC bearing puller kit for $15 that looks to never have been used. Good tool day I guess.

If the Snap-on doesn't work out the new Quin torque/angle wrenches are very nice. 72 tooth ratchets. I tested mine with a 1% digital torque meter and they are right on the money. There is no mechanical click and bump when the torque is reached. There is an LED that lights when approaching the torque setting and another that lights when the setting is reached along with a pretty loud electronic buzzer. They were both purchased from HF using 20% off coupons. One was 119$ the other was 129$ final cost. It does not take long to get used to the led/buzzer system instead of the click bump. The quality is excellent with very nice chrome.

At prices like that, let's just hope the tools weren't stolen.

Pawnshop. That goes without saying. At least they hold things for two weeks and send a sn list to the sheriffs office before they are put out for sale.

Where can a 3/8 electronic wrench go where a 3/8 snap-on flex head split beam can't go?
