Torque wrench questions?

I always stop when I see, feel, and hear the break-over click but I've seen many people give the torque wrench just a smidgen/or small amount more of rotation to the bolt or nut after the click.

1. When you hear and feel the click/break-over do you/yourself immediately stop?

2. Can this extra rotation/torque after the click cause damage to the torque wrench?

I have heard that applying this extra bit of torque past the click can cause the torque wrench to become inaccurate. I would assume applying 50ft-lbs more past the let off would certainly not be good, but what about just a little?

Anyone know for sure?

I know you stop as soon as it breaks over thats how I do it too. I know how to use a torque wrench. I'm saying I've seen many people go just a little past the click/break over.

Does this damage the the torque wrench? Clicker...twin beam?

it wont mess the wrench up. i have been known to let it click, then give it another degree or two of rotation to let the fastener creep a little more.

I stop as soon as it clicks.

Here's how I do it (go to the 1 minute mark):
