Whether its digital or mechanical it should have a temperature range for normal operation in the manual. If mechanical then you're looking at the working temperature range of the lubrication within the tool, digital the electronics. Our dial type torque wrench uses neither and can be used from well below zero to over 150F, under water, or in space, and has a near infinite shelf life. It's usually the last torque wrench anyone chooses but it's what I grab to work on the truck 9 out of 10 times.
Anyway, who wants to hold and use a freezing cold (insert any tool) anyway =)
