Not sure if theres a thread already search results go way back and didnt see any recent ones about this.
I currently have an old Pittsburgh click type torque wrench that doesnt seem accurate. For instance was torqueing at 75 ft/lbs and it never clicked.
My other wrench is a snap on digital one but eveytime i bump the battery cap it resets and even with brand new batteries it gives off low batt warnings.
I got the snap on one to go off at 75 ft/lbs and it felt less than i was putting on with the Pittsburgh one which is why i think its off.
Is there a decent digital version 3/8 and 1/2 inch. Snap on wont warranty cuz i bought it off ebay and its over the warranty period. Id like digital cuz i do own a couple vws and having the angle meter is a plus as well as nm.

Send it to Snapon.

With the other one test it and calibrate it yourself.

My experience is that the Pittsburgh torque wrenches are junk. I replaced the blade on my lawnmower and started to use my Pittsburgh torque wrench at 60 ft*lbf. It would not click off and it felt like I was hitting much more than 60 ft*lbf, so I put the Pittsburgh POS away and got my Craftsman USA click style.. It clicked and felt right with the Craftsman.
