I need a good 1/2 drive torque wrench for working on my trucks, Would also like a decent light duty (lower torque range) wrench, too.

Are any of the wrenches on the new Craftsman Club flier worth the price?

I've got the 3/8 and 1/2 Digi-Torque and like them a lot. Use them all the time on my bikes and trucks. I heard of some who reported the handle grip twisted on the beam - hasn't happened to me and I think they may not know how to properly use a TW - but just in case I used a scribe and scratched a withness mark on the beam and handle to be sure if it does move I'll know it and can twist it back.

The Digi-tork is the devil! Don't touch it! My grip twisted, so I must not know how to use a TW.

A witness mark will only help you if you recognize it twists RIGHT AWAY. Otherwise you'll be able to line it up with your mark in MANY 360 degree options, all of which will give you different torque values

My buddy just had one of the DigiTork things break on him. I have the regular MicroTork and haven't had a problem with it in about 8 years - still seems to be close in it's calibration. Some guys have complained that the "Lock" on the MicroTorks has broken (as it is plastic). I've been careful with mine and it has held up so far.

Always remember to return the wrench back to "Zero" when you are done with it.

i own digi-tork 1/2dr 25-250 ft lbs and i used it a lot like everyday as torque on lug nuts, cylinder heads, and else... but if you plan to use it a lot then get little better quality than be upset or mad... that reason why i got two used snap on (one is fixed and other one is flex head)

I have both the Digi-tork and the Micro-tork and I have not had any issues... all three of mine are within calibration. But I treat them like they're made of glass, so....

I have the non digital one with the plastic locking collar. the collar broke I think it was user abuse(my free help) but the wrench was worth the money. If your shop is below freezing I wouldn't buy the electronic one.
