TorqueMaster Spring with LM3800

I am needing to know if the LM3800 GDO will work on a Wayne-Dalton TorqueMaster Spring setup? I really like the reviews of the LM3800, but I read somewhere that the torsion rod sticking out of the TMS won't fit the coupler on the LM3800.

Please help!

The liftmaster 3800 will not work with the WD TMS system. the winding shaft/s are at the end of the tube on the TMS system. Plus the TMS system has a tear dropped shape to it.

I can confirm the same. A 3800 will not work with a Wayne Dalton Torque Master. I ordered my Wayne Daltons with standard torsion springs for this very reason. You might call and see if you can get the torsion setup from a garage door installer. The problem is that there is no shaft sticking out of the TM system on either side. I email W-D and confirmed this myself and thru the Garage Door Contractor that I purchased from.
