I am looking for a kit of Torx, E-Torx and Hex bits in a Foam Tray. It doesn't have to contain every size, just the "most common sizes" for day to day use. Mainly looking for something small and compact for my roll cart.

Matco makes a kit, but even at the student price, it is a bit more than I want to pay. Is anyone aware of any other kits?

Hazet has some kits, but I think they are pricier than the Matco. How much is the Matco kit discounted? Looks to be $400 without discount.

Might be a good opportunity to make your own foam tray, and assemble separate tools for the tray.

The OTC 5900A set, along with some Capri or GW hex sockets would be decent start. Or maybe all Capri? Too bad the sets all have those blow molded cases.

The OTC set was once a better deal though, just noticed its price has crept to $100 or so.

So it doesn’t have E-torx:

But chunk the phillips & flat bit sockets, and add the Husky E tork sockets in their place.

Or this one, that doesn’t have hex:

And add on some hex sockets in a separate smaller piece of foam. This one looks pretty decent and complete, esp if you run across security torx.

This is a great find, thanks! I wouldn't have thought to consider OEMTools.

Good luck, I'm in the middle of the dreaded BMW Oil Thermostat Leak fix and needed E-Torx sockets. I got articulated VIM on Amazon and normal at Autozone, neither had foam. I saw that Wiha has foam sets but they're not on the USA Website but some 3rd party sellers stock them.
