I have an old Mac set of screwdriver handle torx, and their getting worn out. I was looking at Wiha and Wera sets and also Felo. Not sure what to buy. I would like a set from T8 to T27. Any recomendations from members or opinions?

Very interesting when I tried a web search for a set of zephyr bits it came with a set for Vega bits ? Never heard of vega bits but it looks like a Cal. Company. I don't know does zephyr not make any sets???

I like the bondhus sets
they do 8pc set small and large (TSX8), large size set probably best then buy a single T8 and you go T8 to T30 for probably under 50bucks.
I got set of torx driver bits too as can use them in my various bit holder tools such as bit ratchet bit driver ratchet drivers t-handle etc .

I have the Bondhus set. They're nice, but the handles on the small sizes are too small. My hand doesn't get any smaller just because I'm turning a small fastener...

OP is asking for screwdrivers, not bits.

Of the ones listed (which I have), I prefer Witte (kctoolco) over the others. I prefer the Witte tri-lobe handles like my favorite long disintegrated Snap-Ons from the '80s. Wiha would be my 2nd choice.

I don't like Wera - they don't fit my hand at all and the tips wear faster than the others.

I really like Felos but the Ergonics do collect grit and not ideal for auto work, IMO. However, I sense the Felo shanks on Torx and square seems to torque (twist) more than others.

Bondhus handles just feel cheap to me and I have several that the shank is crooked in the handle.

I have the Craftsman Professional torx drivers, and am very pleased. SK carries the exact same set only with a green handle.

Several of mine came like that too. I heated up the shanks until the handles softened and straightened them out.

I have a mixed bag of Wiha, Craftsman and Wera. My favorite are the Wiha Softfinish but I also really like the Wiha Proturn 3K handles.

I ordered several brands of Torx screwdrivers with different handles from KC Tool just to try out the handles.[emoji106]

When I was looking for a torx screwdriver set, I saw that Blackhawk had a complete set. Here, hope this helps:

Blackhawk ST-11T T6-T40 Set (Made in France)

Currently on sale at Walmart for $43.49 shipped:

https://www.walmart.com/ip/BLACKHAW...3821&wl11=online&wl12=152488618&wl13=&veh=sem

http://www.protoindustrial.com/en/i...k™-by-Proto®-11-Piece-Torx®-Screwdriver-Set-/

Also, Channellock had a wide range of USA made torx screwdriver sets that I ended up buying. I bought them because I liked the hard handle, but they the tips are a little on the soft side. They sell two sets, one goes from T10-30, the other is T6-T9.

The way I see it is it doesn't matter how great the handle is on any Torx/screwdriver if the tip gets chewed up. I have some great soft handle on screwdrivers that feel fantastic in the hand but the tips sadly dont last as long as the handles. Unless its for occaisional use in which anything will do the job, I'd try to buy the strongest tips possible so they last years. I use Wiha T handles made in Germany and they have held up very well. Not sure what the Vietnam made ones are like, but the German ones can still be found.

I have Matco set which are actually Witte drivers. I love the handles on them and I've never had any issues with the tips. You can probably find the Witte branded ones for much cheaper than the Matco set.

I bought the Snap On set after getting sick of my stinky handled Craftsman drivers. Not my favorite, but the ones I disliked the least. On promo last year, they weren't too expensive.

I'll throw my $0.02 on this subject.

I have a Blackhawk torx driver set that is pretty darn good. Maybe not the best but certainly not cheap either.

My apologies for the crappy pictures.

I ended up ordering a set of Wiha's. The micro finish. I had a 20% off coupon code, so the price was pretty decent, with the discount.

Since we're posting pics...

I'm a sucker for Wiha's microfinish grips. Sticks like **** on a blanket. Also love their heavy duty line up of screw drivers. Wish they would make hose and o-ring pics!

I would have warrantied the MACs.

I also don't feel there is any reason to have Torx drivers. The 1/4" bits are fine as long as you have a quality ratcheting / fixed driver.

Those three brands you mentioned are the ones I was going to recommend. Can't go wrong with any of those and all very comparable. A little nicer IMO is Gedore's screwdrivers but they're too expensive. Witte is also an excellent choice.

Saw you went with Wihas, great choice. Then you can try the other brands for Slotted/phillips and hex. Easy to tell which is which.

...until the shank of that driver doesn't fit down into the deep recess where the screw is. I have a SO ratcheting screwdriver and see this often.

I like them too. I have a #2 for DIN/JIS screws and a slotted I use for pry bar type tasks. If I am not oily I prefer the Instinct handle for driving screws.

Wiha and Wera are good. Consider Felo and PB Swiss as well. Of the 4 the PB Swiss seems to have just slightly tighter tolerance on the fitment.

Has anyone tried the SK hard handle set? They look like they have nice long shanks, and handles that are easy to wipe down.
