I know the flue going out (inside wall) is on a little downward angle. But the other part of flue from heater to wall is on a slight angle because the hole to wall is too low. I did use the template provided…it has to go on an angle to connect to adapter going out. Is that ok?

Back up towards the beginning of this project and try again. There's a lot of smart members here that I'm sure that once you've explained it (pictures are the best) you'll get some help.

That is an adjustable vent arm (connector) from the htr to the wall termination piece. It is all right to angle up or down. That assumes you have not added vent extensions to the units. Follow the install instructions to the letter and keep up with the service on it. Have to laugh at JS’s comment. So many times on technical issues I’ll write a post on a technical matter and after re-reading it all I am left with is Huh?, and i wrote it.
