I'll be back to answer your questions this week in another post, thanks guys!

So here is a quick update with a bunch of pictures.

Our new fabricator has some serious skills.

New equipment in the shop, just about done hooking everything up.

LS1 E30 is about a week out from its first test drive.

Messy, but you get the idea...we are running out of room fast!

More updates soon, big NSX meet at the shop this weekend on May 19th so prepare to see a lot of awesome pictures! Also Speed Hunters is planning to feature the shop as well so get ready for plenty of awesome coverage :)

Looks good sir. I really like the new equipment. What type of TIG do you have?

I agree with you, its messy. It needs to be cleaned up a ton, being you guys are a professional shop!!! I'm sure that'll be dealt with this week before the meet, but it should be a daily thing - before and after EVERY task, EVERY time. My first boss drilled that into my head. You don't leave till your bay is clean, even if mid-job. (Should be cleaned up continually during the job too. Makes things SO much more efficient once you get use to it.) Makes me feel super sloppy with how I don't do that every time at my hobby shop, and I definitely feel the efficiency slip. Its just a good pattern to get into, and if you're the boss, make your guys do it, and set an example too. (Really not riding you or anything, just productive commenting hopefully)

What are the specs on the e30? Are those huge rims for it?!

Nah that was just for fun to mock those up here..I'll do a detailed post on the E30 soon :)

Now...speaking of organization...that was just messy because we were in middle of cleaning haha....here are some pictures from today :)

AMS 750r Turbo kit and FMIC kit plus a Perrin equal length header...all going on a 2004 STI we are building for a customer of ours.

Organization is key to any successful business.

More soon!

Like everyone else has said, this is amazing. It appears that you are doing very well and are working on some nice/fun cars.

Seeing all of these LS motors is motivating to get the rest of my parts together so I can swap my LS1 into my Xtreme pickup.

Keep up the good work.

What are you doing the GTR?

We installed a Koyo radiator, new samco hoses, DBA brake rotors, and mounted and balance some tires and race slicks. It will be coming in for some more work soon.

Our Fabricator just finished these custom long tubes and full exhaust for the LS1 E30 :)

Super nice looking exhaust!

What kind of connections are you using? Given that the exhaust has to come down for just about any work on the drivetrain, I hope that the connections aren't just slip fit. BTDT and it ***** for the next guy to work on it...

Just slip connections....and surprisingly it's not to bad to remove everything. If we have any issues though we will simply re-engineer it a bit. We are going to be the only ones working on it thankfully..the owner plans to never sell this car, it has been in his family a long time.

This was a huge weekend for us. The NSX meet was awesome...a total of 7 NSX's showed up including one that drove 9 hours to be there. Not bad for a meet we planned 2 weeks ago! The shop was also shot for the Speedhunters feature which I am very very excited about...more on that soon!

Here is a few shots of the blue NSX we did a lot of work on. I'll have more up soon when my internet feels like working better haha.

Owner took delivery last night and drove her back to Memphis. He had an awesome drive taking mostly back roads on the way home :)

We did the timing belt, water pump, cam seals/caps, crank seal, thermostat, fuel filter, valve adjustment, lowering springs, front sway bar, and new exhaust. We couldn't do the supercharger since the guy he bought it from powder coated it yellow :/ He was still getting the paint stripped off so we held off on that install for now.

The cars you are working on, attention to detail and your young age, will benefit you for the rest of your life. Keep your nose clean and stay out of trouble and you'll be on your way.

Keep up the good work young man.

 Great garage, but better than that a great write up. Just read through the entire thread and the word that comes to mind is "awesome." Not only for living the dream and doing what you set your mind to but for the utmost respect and gratitude towards your parents. Don't see that a lot these days.

On a side note, perhaps it's the fact I have family down in Franklin but I would like to show support for your business. Went to the website in hopes of finding a few options for Track. One vinyl but nothing was posted. What is the best way to go about getting one?

WOW. What a work ethic. Not many people in the world possess that. I wish you all the best. Only a few years older than me :).

Thanks guys! I'll post up as soon as I have stickers available again!

We have been super busy...here is a teaser shot from the photoshoot we had for Speed Hunters :)

And big thanks to the guys at Power Block TV for having us and the Z06 on the show yesterday! We had a blast and there is nothing but great people over there! Can't wait to work more with the show in the future. Kinda crazy that a lot of the guys already follow my build here on garage journal! I'll be by again soon to show you guys the LS1 E30 when its done...I'm glad the studio is only 10 minutes away from our shop!

Thanks again guys! More updates soon!

Great work on the building and the cars. It is really inspiring to watch your progress. I have wanted to start a shop but have a family to support with insurance and a steady paycheck. Wish I would have got into cars right out of high school. Congrats on your success!

I remember seeing your thread on NWP4life a while back and thinking you were gonna make it with your shop. The shop looks great, way better and cleaner than a lot of shops here in Cali. Keep up the good work and props on your coupe, it was sick!!

really glad they posted this on the front page, caught my eye since I'm in to cars. really great story man, so glad things are going good for you. I was in a similar position doing work on cars but I never took the jump, reading this makes me regret that slightly. I still get to have a lot of fun working on cars but you are living the dream man.

I came to this site looking for some ideas for my garage when I get a house later this year, and I'm glad to have found this thread. I'll keep subscribed because I expect updates.

I love the attention to detail you have in your cars, I'm very much the same in that respect. if you ever get bored and want to check out the $$ sink I have here is a link http://g35driver.com/forums/media-share-g35-coupe-v35/378379-progress-thread-sexyrob.html

keep up the good work

Nice job. I like the way you word your post about the work being done in the shop. You use words such as we and ours, and not I or my. Pure class.
