Saw these at Costco today. I think it is also a 'tool'.
Anyone use one with success? My Explorer could not move at an iced parking lot last weekend. A gentleman helped me out with his AWD SUV. I wonder if the following thing could help for this situation.

I wouldn't suspect those would help much on ice. But on snow they could. I've gotten cars unstuck before by shoving a board under the tire and that looks better than a board. 19$ isn't a ton of money to do some experimenting. If you do though be sure to post again on here to save / spend all of our 19$! ;)

I got my tractor stuck in a shallow ditch while plowing snow once. Used a similar product to get it out, I would recommend it.

Mud, sand or snow I could see that working, on ice I'm thinking the tire might just spit it out from underneath it.

A bag of kitty litter stashed in the back of your car is your best bet for traction on glare ice. Just throw it down under your tires and drive away slowly.

If that has teeth top and bottom it should also work on ice, but then you have to stop and retrieve... Will you still be able to restart after that, or more of the same?

Sand/kitty litter is a drive away solution.

These work better:

Bonus, they help you stop faster and turn better too! :)

I leave my driveway as glare ice in the winter now, it's probably a 10 degree slope. My UPS man most likely hates me.
