I have been looking to add forks to my bucket for a while but just to darn cheap to spend a couple hundred on a used set. My work happened to have an old pallet jack going to the scrap yard. First I welded 2x2 to the frame to fit onto the receiver already mounted on my bucket. Worked great but wanted to lift just a little more weight.

Then it hit me to just make it work on the 3 point also.

Yes I do know that they aren't adjustable and you have to be careful of the pallet sliding side to side. But hey price was right and it works for me and maybe it will inspire others.

Great idea to repurpose an old pallet jack. I see them all the time for next to nothing if the hydraulics aren't working.

Necessity the mother of all invention.

You could of got a set of forks off a forklift at a salvage yard. Just bring your own torch and tools.

I never thought of using a pallet jack, that's a great idea. I built my forks out of 2"x6" steel left over from the 5th wheel I scrapped.

They're not very long, but they make it much easier to move brush and branches over to the burn pile. I bent the mounting moving a big a$$ cedar the other day and need to do some reinforcing now.

I was going to buy a salvaged pair of forks for my front loader. Never even considered using it in back, but I will do it that way now. You can lift a hell of a lot more using the 3pt and also have a much more stable load.

That's a great idea and a cool way to re purpose an otherwise junk pallet jack. When I bought my tractor, it came with one of those cheap tractor supply type fork set ups, that attached to the three point hitch. Someone had welded a three point attachment to the bucket. Only rated at like three hundred pounds, and it's very handy. But I really like the looks of yours better. And it's gotta be a lot more solid. Cool stuff, well done!
