Tractor hydraulic help needed

I have a 2017 John Deere 3038E I'm trying to plumb in a hydraulic top link and spool valve.
On back of tractor is power beyond for backhoe (I bought tractor new with lots of attachments).
I have very limited hydraulic knowledge.
The spool valve I got recently top ports go to cylinder, P port hose to power beyond female connector (below my hand first picture). T port I connected to male hose I'm holding and pointing to.
It works...sort of, but smooth out, cylinder jerks retracting (it's plumbed incorrectly, could damage pump).
My understanding is the power beyond should always be connected unless I'm using backhoe.
Some say I need to install BLV10461 SCV rear hydraulic kit. Dealer says $1500 installed.
To me (please correct me if I'm wrong) the spool valve P port needs hydraulic pressurized fluid in and T port simply goes to tank (fluid return, no pressure).
There has to be a simple way to do this, right? A "T" connector to power beyond, then hose return line?
I installed front hydraulics myself for a grapple, so actually those two lines two long hoses back would work, except those are solenoid & joystick switch controlled. "T" connect off of those lines before solenoid?
Any help appreciated in advance. There must be a simple way to do it.20210508_175639.jpg20210508_175704.jpg20210508_175651.jpg

That valve has it's own relief. It does not necessarily need to be plumbed to a "power beyond" port. You could run a jumper from your loader valve discharge "T" side to the P port on the new valve and back to the loader return line. The new valve relief should be set to the relief pressure of the loader valve or lower though. Easy Peasy, just requires two hoses. It's a series circuit. As long as the downstream circuit has it's own relief and doesn't need priority it will work without being "power beyond".

Running a hose from the loader's tank port to the new valve would be wrong unless the loader valve does not have a power beyond port and its tank port is rated for full system pressure. Neither of those is common these days.

The new valve needs to get it's flow from the loader's power beyond port. That is what is feeding the 3pt and any other valves (like a 3rd function). You add the new valve in series between the loader and 3pt. The new valve's tank port can be teed into the tank line from the loader valve. The pressure lines can not be teed. If the new valve's tank port is not rated for full system pressure (2200-2500 psi) you need to set the new valve up for power beyond and feed the valve after it from the new valve's PB port. You have to read the manufacturer specs to find what the tank port is rated for.

Tractor only had 2500psi hydraulics?

I'd have guessed at 4-5000 like most newer heavy equipment
