Why Did they charge you 10 cents for a bag?

California plastic bag ban. They can't give you a plastic bag, but you can buy one for 10c. I was willing to pony up to not drop everything in the parking lot.

In Maryland it's $0.05

Not to derail the thread but don't drag the whole state into your county's stuff. Only Montgomery county has a bag charge. Cross the border into a free county for your shopping.

Wow, I've been gone for a week and looks like I got back just in time. Going to head to my local TSC and see what goodies they might have in the tools for 50% off on clearance. :)

How long is the 50% off clearance? Last time I was there they had a stack of hitch receiver vices for ~$75. It might be worth it to me to pick one up at half that price.

Picked up a 48" Johnson level. When it rang up for $4.40 I had to go back and grab the last one. Will I ever need two 48" levels? Probably not, but I could not resist.

I didnt realize that the sale stuff was another 50% off until I picked up a 15mm socket and it rang up $0.50. So I went back and bought more sockets ($0.50 - $0.70), screwdrivers, (~$1.00 each) and a couple 25' tape measures ($1.75).
I guess I should have picked up the single 48" level, but couldn't justify having 2 for any situation. Maybe I would have if I knew it was $4.40. I also didn't think to look in other sections for sale items.

DCD985 20v Max hammer drill is a hit or miss clearance item right now. Haven't seen them stocked at most stores as they were marked down a little last year ($109 or so). This past weekend I found one marked at $99 that rang up for $56. Not the latest and greatest but I've been wanting a full size drill to complement the 790 and 795.

Went into my TSC today expecting to see clearance everywhere...

NOTHING... Just a small basket in the corner by the tools with clearance stuff, and not even that good of prices. Everything is back up to regular price now... :(

Was still good as of a couple hours ago. Found a store where the manager hadn't even put out the additional 50% sign yet, admitted it was supposed to be up Sunday. Even gave me a manual adjustment on some items that were on the shelf with the other stuff but weren't really included.

Did anyone see the jumbo SAE Gearwrench clearance at $22.00?
Went there today, they were still there at full price.
Got some SAE Allan wrenches for $2.65. We're $12.**, down to $5.29 down to $2.65.
Got about 10 more screwdrivers at 1/2 off the clearance price, and a 2 pac of 10" hack saw blades for about. 30 cents.
Spent $9.00, didn't "need" none of it, but what do we say here?
I guess the job smart s/drivers can't work too bad, right?
Put a few more in the cars tool bag. From reading here, it thought it would be nationwide so I had her scan a few things and they were about 1/2 off the clearance price.
What are the Dewalt Water-pump pliers like. There was a set for like $17.99,but I didn't get them priced. They were in the back corner section. It they are 1/2 off the clearance, ($9.00) I might price them tomorrow.
Looked like about a 6" and a 10"set. (No!, I don't need them, but what do we say?
There was a real nice trailer hutch the other day, $200.00 down to $50.
Probably for a tractor or a smaller dump truck?
There is about 3 or four Torrington Big Red Jacks didn't see a price.

Found a poorly managed store today, got 2 more 48" levels at $4.40, one 24" at $3, and two of the 36" Enforcer pry bars for $5.50 ea. I'm actually not hoarding, my non-profit can use them.

Oddly this store still had 2 Orca camo coolers & they still rang up $149

Geez you guys are lucky your still finding deals my local store has removed all the clearance stickers and is restocking they had Red Johnson levels now and cheap aluminum ones all at full retail.

Those Enforcer pry bars are beasts :D

We bought one a while ago down at the farm to use as a long reach drift bar with a 12 lb sledge to get off the blade bolt retainers on our Woods BrushBull rotary cutter

Worked great

What do the Enforcer pry bars look like?
I might go up there and have them scan the dewalt water pump pliers.
They are like $17.99, so If I can get them for $9.00 I might get them for in the car.
Wish they had more of the hack saw blades, They were 10" ones.

Hard to be sure but I'm guessing they look like the objects in the left of my pic two posts above with a yellow label that says "Enforcer." Maybe.

Whats the difference between the yellow levels like you bought and the RED ones, they have a red 48" at my store but the sku doesnt match the clearance tag?

Tried to get 36" Enforcer pry bar today but rang up at $12.99 so I skipped as they might drop more at my local store as there were still Qty 2.

Did get set of 3/8" drive MM sockets from 9 to 17mm at 50 cents per socket.

Screwdrivers and levels were all wiped out.

My store is kinda poorly managed so they never put out the clearance tags or anything. Wish I had a way to figure out what was discounted (besides reading the receipt photos here)

Went to a store that supposedly had 4 levels in stock and found nothing. I did get a crescent 1/2" ratchet and sockets for $4.40 normally $24.99.

havn't been in my tractor supply in a while... are clearance items pretty well marked? are they in a specific area or just on the shelves where they would normally be?

Just walk to the tool aisle . . . look for the Yellow clearance tags. They are everywhere as it appears they are undergoing wholesale brand changes.

Yeah, mine has that
That's where the de walt water pump set is. Reduced to about $18.00.
I had he scan it, but it still came up $17.99
so I didn't get them. Maybe I'll try to catch a manager and ask to cut that price in half.

Not sure why the 48" enforcer still rings full price while the 36&24 ring up clearance, but happy to have the two I found today. Also this large dustpan and some unmarked linesman's pliers.4aa95cda6206f41f3b058010d950b292.jpg84679b04a67bcaec1ff99e280c742628.jpg211ab931013807fb31e932b844f66016.jpgb4ab44b96105e09e6007c21bbcfeaf08.jpg655892d3fa91bf4f1834634d4b3fb46a.jpg

Man I might have to swing by my TSC one of these days and see if they ever put anything decent on clearance. They only had 2 enforcer bars that were full price last time I went.

Also, I dont know what experience others have had, but when I asked someone with a handheld scanner to check prices for me the other day, it did not reflect clearance pricing, but scanning the same item at the register did reflect the clearance pricing.

That's good to know! I thought it odd when the lone Olympia hitch vise came up full price in one store, but he used a handheld scanner. I asked him where they'd even put it as it doesn't have a "home," (it was holiday special) and he said it just says "Out of Season" and didn't know where they'd keep it on the floor.

I recently got a "seasonal reward" of $10 off $10 (Neighbors Club) so I need to go look at my store...........I might be able to get quite a bit of clearance for "free."

Picked up a red plastic/resin 48" level at $3.24 on clearance last night for my son. Not military spec but it's straight on both sides and will do the job.

As others have said, clearance items seem to be in the rear of the store on the left side.

A little off topic, but what is the scoop with the 10% off type coupons like the one posted previously? I tried to sign up for emails from TSC on their website, but so far have never received any. I'm thinking of buying a trailer from them and could use a % off coupon.

Thanks!
