Anyone have experience with the Dewalt 60 Gallon compressor for $399? I am in the market for a 60 Gallon and its a better price than the Husky/Kobalt competitors at Home Depot and Lowes.

Good Black Friday price on the Dewalt 30 gallon. I know Dewalt has different models for different stores, but the Tractor Supply version should be fine for my limited DIY use.

The new Kobalt 30 gallon looks good also. The price is increasing from $449 to $470. Not sure if there will be Black Friday deals on Kobalt. It is a two stage, but at $130 more, the Dewalt might be the winner. Just not fond of a yellow compressor.

So they are letting us buy online on Thursday and pick it up at the store on Black Friday. That works for me I am looking for a couple 100lbs propane tanks and $40.00 off per tank seems like a good deal to me.

Thanks for posting. That 30gal Dewalt compressor looks like a nice deal. I have a 25 gal PC now which is not quite as nice and loud enough I can't bare to run it.

Might be in for the chainsaw at $99. Any feedback on that Poulan Pro?

I have that Poulan Pro, but it's a few years old now. It's a decent saw, especially at that price. I think I paid $90 for mine as a display model from Home Depot, and I've certainly got my money's worth out of it. I don't think you'd find anything better in the price range.

In the past they've also done free shipping on all online orders w no minimum, but not sure if that'll return and of course I'd think LP tanks might be restricted (or maybe not if empty). I got several of the $7 two-inch ratchet straps shipped to me one year and avoided the crowds.

Pile of ****. I had a neighbor that had bought one. When you tighten down the nuts for the bar, it would bind the chain from spinning. I told him to take it back and get a different brand. Picked up an Echo.

The Dewalt looks exactly like an old Kobalt unit w/ a different paint job I have from Lowes that is still going strong many years later. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another at that price.

I normally do not buy or even think about extended warranties, but is it a good or bad idea on compressors, especially the mid grade units?

I'd give it a hard pass. Father-in-law has one and he let me borrow it this summer. It was hard starting and wouldn't stay running. I picked up the carb adjust tool and tinkered with it, getting it barely better than it was. Still not good enough to use safely as it would die at idle or full throttle, so you had to keep the throttle part way all the time.
Go with an echo, Stihl or Husqvarna. Sure, they cost more, but are significantly better. Most of the pros around me use Stihl, which says a lot

For what it's worth- I've had that 30 gallon DeWalt compressor for about two years and it has been excellent. Change the oil after a break in and keep the water drained and it should work great for home use for a while.

Thanks for the feedback on the chainsaw. Guess I'll be looking for an Echo or a Stihl.

You won't regret it. Brother-in-law just bought an echo, it's significantly better than father-in-law's poulan pro, but not as easy to start as my Stihl pole saw.

Ok they are offering free shipping again on just about anything.

Ironically my neighbor asked to borrow some of my yellow 2" straps yesterday so I'm ordering him two at $6.99 ea as a Christmas present.

I just ordered 4 more. It's the only thing I'm seeing worth buying :(
