Tractor Wheel Weight please help ID

Someone here did a near-miracle identifying a tractor weight recently, so I'll ask for help with mine. I dug this up at my place, and am curious as to what it fits. It appears to fit about a 28" rim, and would probably take 5 to make the whole circle.

But, I'm not completely sure that's what it is at all. If you take a look at the outside, the convex side, it has a lump that would prevent it from bolting up smoothly with the inside of a rim, unless it had a corresponding recess.

I did some internet searching, but didn't find anything very similar.

Any guidance would be appreciated!

The A-986 reminds me of a JI Case part number.

Did you try going to Yesterdays Tractor website?

As a farm boy and tractor enthusiast it doesn't look like any wheel weight I have ever seen.

Thanks, Bob. Yesterday's Tractor led me a merry chase to all sorts of neat stuff - even eBay got into it. I didn't find anything difinitive, but several Case, IH and Farmall weights looked similar. Looking at mine more closely, it's possible that it's not a whole weight. One end looks like it might be broken. That would make sense because the weights that look most like it are half-weights, not quarters. In fact, quarters are very uncommon. I found some fairly good pix of J1 Cases, and they do have some odd bulges in the rear rims that might match the odd bulges in my weight.
It's an odd thing, whatever it is.
Worst case, it's 33 lbs of scrap iron.

Is their any paint left on it? I dont know much about Case, but I think you may possibly have a front end weight instead of a wheel weight. It looks it may bolt to the front corner of the frame and have a matching weight on the opposite corner.

What crops were grown in your area? That may help you determine what tractors were commonly used in the area and are the most likely candidates.
