I bought a small 5X8 utility trailer some years ago, from a friend. It had plywood sides and deck. Shrotly after I bought it, I was pulling it empty, well long story short it came off the hitch. My natural reaction was hit the breaks. It slamed itno the back of my wifes Expedition. Lucky for me the spare tire was mounted to the fromt of the trailer. Unlucky for the trailer, it caveed it in almost 6" and broke the corner welds. I decided to rip it apart and rebuild it. I replaced the front angle iron with new, stripped off all of the wood. Added more angle suports down the center. Then put down 1/8" diamond plate. Once that was all done I put expanded metal on the sides. Seems like every time I lent it out the tail lights got ripped off. They won't any more. I still have to finish painting it, ***** when you run out in the middle. I welded 6 small D-Rings on the deck. Once I get an extra $75 I will put the roll on bed liner on the deck. I also have to finish the inner part on the fenders.
