Once again I'm offering training in Indianapolis. Normally $350.00. I offering this months class for just $150.00 per person to Garage Journal patrons only. My areas are Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia. If you are out of my area, give me a call and I'll see what I can do for you with respected distributors. Discounted hotel rates nearby. Heres another bargain for the cheap inner child that searches for the absolute. 10% discount on all in stock materials purchased at time of class. ( I only have 400 lbs. of flakes of various colors, plenty of epoxy) but you still get the 10% discount on blends I don't have on the shelf. (I sell them a lot cheaper than what you will find).
Here's what you are going to get:
The absolute best training in the Midwest on a multitude of applications.
24 hour technical support from prep to finish on your project.
A binder chocked full of product and application information.
Breakfast snacks and lunches are on me. (We eat well).
We produce around 20-24 3x5 samples, some doubled up. These are yours.
A CD with all the info for guys that can only read from a flat screen.
Hard to find tools on hand to do the job. (Get your own stir sticks).
You bring only your work cloths. This is not a dog and pony exhibit. You will be applying the product.
Lots of discussion and problem solving. "What ifs" are answered.
It's busy, it's a lot of work, but in the end, you will walk away confident to do your project.
Bring photos, we will have an open discussion on your project.
Now here's the tickler, It's this Friday and Saturday. June 15-16. It lasts as long as needed to make sure everybody leaves knowing what, where, when and why. Boards are cut up and sent out the door.
I have 9 contractors signed up as of this writing. I have 3 (free by the way) retrains, I will open the door for 3 more.
Now to get his special rate, Call 317-888-4440 and talk to Dorothy.
Tell her "I'm cheap but want quality". Let her know you are form the Garage Journal. she will give you the discount.
OK, I know this is hokey and I apologize if anybody takes offense.. Ya gotta have a little fun! I just want guys to do it right, with the right product, so it lasts. gene

This seems like a great deal. When I think of all I learned doing my one and only epoxy floor, it would have been good to have learned all that stuff in advance.

bdamico, Thanks. The savings I'm offering on the products will more than cover the class costs. I don't give you stir sticks so if that's a deal breaker..... (each time I go into a big box store or a paint store, I get a hand full for free). Gloves..... OK, I'll give you a pair... in fact, I can sell you a 100 pack for 9.00 dollars. These are the good ones.

OK, enough.... Gotta get ready for class. I have one place open. Will allow 2 people from the same company, household. I'll post pics of the class and you can see just what I teach.

Gene,
I was only teasing.
What you are doing is common in our industry.

We do the same thing, coffee, pizza, rubber gloves and xylene for everyone. :)

Gene:
I am not a braggart...
but since you asked, I feel compelled to answer...
I am well into my forties.
I started painting condo complexes in my teens, before I could drive.
I worked my way through college hanging off a ladder spray-painting exteriors.
They had me do all the high work as I am not afraid of heights, although I have fallen off many ladders still clutching my graco.

Post college I worked for one of the largest flooring contractors in the United States. Troweling mud in food and chemical companies in Northern NJ. My troweling sucked so they upgraded me to salesman in training.

From there, I became a record setter in commercial flooring (within our company).
I sold hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of polymer floors to the likes of Goya Foods, Tiffany & Co, Newark Airport, Exxon, NJ State Prisons, etc...

Once I learned the business I left and started my own program. Our company started in the mid nineties, incorporated in 2004 and the rest is history.

You continue to insinuate that I am a salesman. I am, and damn proud of it. I sell quality polymer flooring products to large companies, contractors and homeowners.

Not sure why you feel compelled to challenge me but keep it coming, I'll be banging the keys all night making quotations and job-sheets, this is a nice distraction. :)

Gene, you mention every product elite-creet ever came up with, hawk training classes, and direct people to your network of salespeople/installers.

All of which is great. Yet, you claim you are not a salesman. When I point this out you go on the defensive and start taking swings.

Embrace your inner salesman so we can all get on with flooring talk.
