Unfourtantly I found out I have to change the clutch on my brother's truck. It's a Dodge truck with a NV5600 trans. Trans weighs in about 400lbs.

So I am looking for a low rise trans jack. Right now I am looking at either the Harbor Freight 800lbs trans jack or the Grizzly 1250lbs trans jack.

Does anyone have experince with either of these? Any others I should be looking at? Thanks.

I just did the clutch in my girlfriend's Mustang a couple weeks back. Used the Harbor Freight 450lb scissor trans jack, which I got for around $64 after the 20% coupon, and it worked just fine. 'Course, that transmission only weighed probably 80 pounds or so...

I have used one very similar to the Grizzly, but don't know the brand, since the label is pretty much toast. It's orange in color. It works well. I've used an "adaptor" for a floor jack as well, but found that too unstable compared to the mystery trans jack. The adaptors that replace the jack saddle also tend to be way too high.

I have the Harbor Freight jack. It works, but the plastic knobs on the tilt mechanism are not so great.
